no adam

best option for us next season would be 20 teams for one season, otherwise unfair for cambuur, graafschap to take promotion away from them

invest more money for one season in lower division to help out struggling teams

no champion and give CL/EL places how leaderboard currently looks

''banned from europe'' uh no adam, uefa has withdrawn that statement now

There is no reason to void a competition that UEFA and Fifa have bent over backwards to finish by saying the season end date has been suspended and the season can be finished whenever safe to do so

Tbh instead of voiding the season, or bringing it back and claiming it to be the 'same season' why not just count the current standings as the final result? I know that it's not ideal/unfair to the teams in the relegation places, but imo it beats bringing the Leagues back and pretending that it's the same season as the one that got put on hold a couple of months ago, and it certainly beats voiding a season for obvious reasons.

Imo I would really struggle to get back into our Football if we take either the Dutch or German ideas. Selfishly on the latter if we end up getting relegated to League One next season due to this sudden revival when we otherwise would've stayed up will make me never follow our Football again.

not just voided, current standings do count for european places for next season

so Ajax, AZ to CL

Feyenoord, PSV and Willem II to EL

although FC Utrecht are going to appeal at KNVB and UEFA since they were cup finalist vs feyenoord, and 3 points behind willem II in competition with one less played match so honestly they could've been ahead of willem II

Some premier league clubs are struggling financially so avoiding the season and making them pay back 10s of millions of pounds back will destroy the clubs, the government are discussing a 6th of June restart date behind closed doors

Nicky91

KNVB said 300 million debts for Eredivisie competition now thanks to the coronacrisis

so clubs need to sell some of their players, technical staff to contribute their share into clearing that debt

KNVB are possibly giving the teams to chance to decide if they should reverse the promotion/relegation decisions

and 2 extra teams for next season (since Cambuur complained they had a new stadium for eredivisie already invested in) and also de graafschap want their rightful promotion

fc utrecht want that Europa ticket instead of willem II

Nicky91
28-04-2020, 07:59 AM
UEFA has pulled together 236 million, for all 55 FA's in UEFA

every national FA receives 4,3 million and can decide for themselves how to spend this extra money

it's our duty to help out now, what president ceferin of uefa had said

Josiah.

Well, in an article I just read (from the Daily Mail of all places), Eredivisie could potentially reverse the decision to void the season due to growing threats of legal action from certain clubs.

Update: promotion/relegationgate

De Graafschap and Cambuur team up and go to court to appeal against the KNVB's decision and want a one off season with 20 teams in eredivisie next season

FC Utrecht already filed for appeal to claim their rights on that one Europa league spot (which willem II currently has, but one match more played than Utrecht only 3 points difference and Utrecht has better paperwork more goals for, less goals against)

Nicky91

all eredivisie, keukenkampioendivisie teams have resumed training now with social distancing

Fans will not allowed to watch Dutch football at stadiums until a vaccine is found, if its next September a lot of Dutch teams will go out of business as they dont have the same sort of finances like Ajax and similar teams

update on new season

they had said recently, here our Minister of Health/Sport Martin Van Rijn, they are looking into possibilities of doing friendly matches (without audiences) just to see how it goes first

also the mascots want new season to begin again (as they do not spread covid since they are in a costume, which is a huge face mask on its own too lol)

coronaregulations in matches, a emergency plan by KNVB

- alongside players, referees, 300 people in total at a match

- separate dressing rooms for players, reserves and technical staff (if not possible then 1.5 metres distance

- also teams are not allowed to enter the pitch same time, one team at a time, no children will walk with players on the pitch, at the toss no hand shakings

- and recommended to test the players of each team for the coronavirus

club icon Gerard De Nooijer back at Sparta Rotterdam, as assistent manager of new coach Henk Fraser (who is successor of Aleksandar Rankovic who is the new ADO Den Haag manager)

De Nooijer previously worked as coach for amateurs like FC Dauwendaele, VV Goes but professionally for FC Dordrecht and the chinese Dalian Istar

Sparta Rotterdam are enjoying it that the season had been cancelled due to corona, i mean they are working really hard on renewals within the club, getting rid of debts, salary being reduced of players and staff and everyone agreeing to that

as for transfer news, they are keen on bringing 37 yr old goalie Maarten Stekelenburg (international, ex-Fulham) back to eredivisie, as their first choice goalie for new season
