Nicola Sturgeon’s decision to be open and honest about the choices the country faces is a landmark moment.
Period! Nic is streets ahead of the B-Team that is the English govt and showing great leadership. Once again proving she’s the best leader in the UK by far :clap1:

More tests and less deaths per head of population, and she’s actually shared an exit strategy instead of keeping everyone in the dark like the English gov

Only the thickos are in the dark, there are 5 key areas to be met as they keep saying over and over and over the main one being a sustainable daily drop in deaths which no nation has yet achieved

To be fair Scotland is not on target to hit their predicted testing goal either.
'The Scottish government has previously committed to carrying out 3,500 tests a day for Covid-19 by the end of April.
Its latest figures show there were 1,290 patients tested on Thursday.'

Even the Telegraph yesterday admitted she is bossing it. But let's face facts. She is by far the best UK politician by a country mile.

If she was bossing it why not lock down earlier than Westminster

Not buying that sorry

Not buying that sorry
Well it’s probably the reason. At the moment Scotland doesn’t have enough control over its own finances in order to be in a position to provide anything like the furlough scheme for business and workers, hence we had to wait until the UK as a whole did it

So basically in that article she is putting an arm round the Scottish people, but there is nothing of substance there at all, Boris tried that before lockdown appealing for the UK to act like adults and socially distance, but unfortunately for him it ended in tears and he had to lock down, it does look like some folk need their hands held that is for sure

He said he was shaking hands in a hospital with covid patients...
Hard to treat the public like adults when the public sees you as an immature stuck up posh child

The Scottish government promises to “explore new ways to engage with the public as this pandemic progresses” and to “share our thinking at every stage”. Emerging from the lockdown will probably involve “tailoring options to, for example, specific geographies and sectors, or parts of the rural economy, or those able to work outdoors”. But going to the pub or attending public events is likely to be “banned or restricted for some time to come. Each one of us will have to adapt to this as the new normal, at least until we are sure that we can be more protected by a vaccine or treatment.”
how is any of that news if you are following what is actually going on, and looking at Spain, Italy and France :skull:

She can be a bit more open politically about easing the lockdown because of the lower death rate - which is down to lucky circumstances more than anything, in my opinion.

Maybe not.
'Early lockdown' means Scottish death rate will be lowerScotland will have a lower death rate from coronavirus than the rest of the UK due to lockdown being introduced at an earlier stage of the country’s ‘epidemic curve’ experts have said.'

I'm afraid it's Constitution politics
She told Marr she wouldn’t ease lockdown in line with the rest of the UK if she didn’t feel it was the right step, so she has the power?

It doesn't look to me like she's using this as a political point scoring exercise. It's her supporters using her for that.
