A live example of a beautiful song. How this kinda music (synthwave) isn't in the mainstream, but so much rubbish is baffles me. FM-84 the producer of the track above can't even afford to live off his music, has a full time day job, wtf?!

Luck and publicity play bigger roles than talent and quality, sadly.

Hopefully by The Weeknd using Synthwave stuff, it'll get some attention of the genre. However Running in the Night is a few years old now, so maybe The Weeknd got inspiration from FM-84.

Very true.

I like a bit of Synthwave for the 80's sci-fi/cyberpunk vibe. But this one's a little on the "light/pop" side for me tbh.

Fury Weekend and Gunship are fantastic. Gunship are right up there for me. And yeah, i know what you mean, Synth has plenty of sub genres. Im not too into the heavy/dark synth but i can appreciate it for sure.

Timecop1983 have a pretty good balance along with Gunship, whereas WOLFCLUB, The Midnight and FM-84 are a little more towards pop synth. But yeah, still having lots of fun discovering old and new synth.
