But the clubs are hitting back and taking the leagues to court, holland screwed over many teams and are rethinking the decisions due to threats of legal action.
If the PL cancels dispute the PM wanting it to return at least half the teams will have to sue them

The Government can’t even provide enough PPE and Testing for NHS staff at the moment, never mind full scale for Premier League. What they “want” doesn’t mean a thing.

But the lower you go the more it affects the players, players on lower wages will end up in debts which will cause mental health issues and the game could be destroyed altogether as very few clubs would last 18 months without income

no they don't, UEFA has already pulled back at that statement jeez
each league will get financial support too by them
so premier league doesn't have to be finished, and struggling teams can still get financial support (that is what UEFA hints at using the 4,3 millions for)

well things are different now in these coronacrisis times, and it'll never be normal again
the teams who can survive great, those who don't will be victims of the coronacrisis and we cannot blame anyone for that

Football should not return for the foreseeable future(before at least September where we have seen the potential second spike). There’s no reasonable alternative to allow it to go through at the moment.
Also, UEFA are being deluded if they think there will be European football any time soon. They should count themselves lucky if they even have a tournament next season.
Personally. I cancel this season and try go again in September with only domestic competitions and no Cup Replays etc.

Why cancel a season to restart a new one?
Also they cant afford to cancel the season

So there goes Paris with another victory  Well, at least we finish second.
Same goes for Rugby too  But it's for the health of the people, in the end it's just sports. It will come back in September.
Fifa's chief doctor has warned against restarting the interrupted 2019-20 campaign and suggested governing bodies prepare for action next season instead.
Michel d'Hooghe said "as a doctor" he would be "sceptical" about continuing leagues amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The chair of Fifa's medical committee told BBC Sport: "My proposal is if it is possible, avoid playing competitive football in the coming weeks.
"Try to be prepared for the start of good competition next season."
European leagues have until 25 May to tell European governing body Uefa whether they want to complete or cancel their seasons.
"There is a risk and it is not a risk that has small consequences," continued D'Hooghe.
"It can have consequences of life and death and that is why I am so careful and I ask everyone to be very careful before deciding to play again.
"I speak as a medical doctor, I don't have to speak as an organiser of matches, but for the moment from my medical standpoint I would be very sceptical."
Belgian D'Hooghe added it would be extremely difficult to continue social distancing if football matches were to resume and believes some "hygienic rules" would have to be put in place if seasons were to continue.
"How will you avoid direct contact?" he said. "That is my question.
"For the moment the criteria means it is absolutely difficult to say that we can play competitive football and believe me I regret it profoundly because I am a football man.
"I am a little bit afraid that to have a complete solution we will have to wait until we have a vaccination programme, but I think the time has come now to think of some hygienic rules.
"For instance to avoid spitting - why do we have to see that in football and not in other sports? This is one of the things we have to consider because this is a real danger in the future."
On Tuesday it was announced that the French Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 seasons will not resume.
It is not yet known whether the Ligue de Football Professional (LFP) will choose to abandon the season with no promotion or relegation and no champions, or base the outcome of the campaign on current standings.
The Dutch top flight was abandoned on Friday with no promotion or relegation and no champions, while on Monday Belgian clubs postponed a vote on confirming the cancellation of their top flight until next week.

Then it's a genuine goodbye to the game of football
Tired of the 'its only sport' attitude from people saying it shouldn't come back yet within a few weeks all shops will be back open and people will be streaming into shopping centres and towns to buy clothes, get haircuts, go to Greggs, Costa etc all of which will be less safe than a football match being played behind closed doors
Get the bloody game on!
Where there will be very few professional teams left in the world
oh NO! I feel sorry for all those professional football players on atrocious high wages

Not all are on ridiculous wages there are players on much lower wages at the bottom end of the leagues, wages not far from normal peoples wages

And yet the weight of sports games in the global economy is much less than the rest of the economy (factories, services, shops, transportation etc.)
At least in France not everything will reopen at the same time and for not all areas of the country. Not even all schools will reopen. We're a nation of people who don't like being told what to do, and I'm pretty sure we are the country who is complying with the lockdown rules in the worst way. So the government had to it. (Marseille would have never beat PSG for the title anyway lol)
So really there are other priorities than that. I'm not happy about it, being a rugby player and a huge sports fan myself, but let's have a look at the bigger picture here.
A football/rugby/basketball game still requires a lot of staff to be in a stadium, even when played behind closed doors. It's not just the players.
Let's take the least amount of risks for everybody and it will pay off eventually, I deeply share your frustration though.

You will deserve it the moment you have won it. Fair play, great season, but no one should be handed out anything and most definitely nobody should be getting relegated without a full season having been complete.
Like I’ve said many times. Liverpool being awarded their title is literally one of the least important things to worry about in terms of football In this country right now.

ITV to bring back live studio shows.
The numbers of people at a studio involved in the production of a live show must be similar to that of a Premier League football match.
Look at all the names in the credits of Saturday Night Takeway for instance.

ITV to return to big live studio shows
ITV has announced that studio shows like Britain's Got Talent and The Masked Singer, are to return, possibly without a live audience.
All major filming ground to a halt last month in the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak.
But now the station's bosses have said they had "had enough" of entertainment shows broadcast via Zoom, and other video conferencing platforms. "It looks like we will have to do some shows without audiences," they said.
Katie Rawcliffe, ITV's head of entertainment, said: "This whole experience has brought out more creativity in people and the best in people. "We all have to think a bit harder about how we do things."
Are some TV shows better without a studio audience?
Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival, which is being held online this year, Rawcliffe revealed other big live shows The Voice will also have to "rely on the talent a bit harder, and the edits a bit more."
The audition episodes of Britain's Got Talent were filmed before the coronavirus crisis, and then the live shows were pushed back to later in the year. The channel has already aired an episode of Saturday Night Takeaway without a studio audience - which she said was not ideal but "worked well".
'Good try'
Cameras were set up in the homes of ITV presenters, such as Ant and Dec, Lorraine Kelly, and the Loose Women gang, to help them to broadcast during lockdown. However, Kevin Lygo, director of television at ITV, said it was time to get them back into the studio.
"I've had enough, well done, good try, they are just not what entertainment really is," he said. "Audiences are very forgiving at the moment and gives you a lot of leeway but if it's a big entertainment show, you want it to be a big entertainment show," he went on.
Popular soaps like Coronation Street and Emmerdale could return to screens, with older cast members absent and actors six feet apart, Lygo explained. However, he confirmed the upcoming summer series of ITV2's Love Island - which usually sees young singles couple up in Mallorca in July - is in doubt.
He also spoke about the return of daytime panel talk show Loose Women, which returns to screens on Monday after six weeks off air. Three women, instead of all the panellists, will be in the studio, with one joining via video link when the show returns.
He said that they had explored filming it via video links and that "it just didn't really work".

Premier League clubs are now discussing completing the season, but without relegation.
I honestly don’t see what the bloody point is. If you don’t want to relegate anyone in this climate then just cancel the plan of finishing the season. Give Liverpool their title if need be to avoid their meltdown and just be done with it.
