Kim Jong-un has appeared in public for the first time in 20 days, North Korean state media says.

KCNA news agency reports that the North Korean leader cut the ribbon at the opening of a fertiliser factory.

It adds that people at the factory "broke into thunderous cheers of hurrah" when he appeared.

The reported appearance - his first since a state media appearance on 12 April - comes amid global speculation over his health.

The latest reports from state media could not be independently confirmed and no pictures were provided.

Speculation began when Mr Kim missed the birth anniversary celebrations of state founder Kim Il Sung on 15 April.

Was he wearing sunglasses and being dragged around by two young men?

I mean his death wasn't reported in any reputable news media, is it really a gag sis?

I mean his death wasn't reported in any reputable news media, is it really a gag sis?No reputable news source would report it without proof or an official statement, to be fair. He still hasn't been seen, other than government-controlled NK media saying "everyone can **** up now because he's been seen". The fact remains that he is suspiciously absent from visual media and hasn't reportedly been seen by anyone outside of NK. Personally I'm 50/50 on whether he's alive until there's a picture or video of him from a verified source .

Its also possible that he's alive but ill, though. They try to maintain this almost "godlike" image within NK so they wouldn't want the population knowing that he's unwell.

TMZ slightly less reliable on the health of secretive dictators in hermit states than they are on American celebrities? :omgno:
