Battered (or Orange) chips are a staple of a black country chippy and i know its very rare to get them outside of the midlands.

i dont go anywhere that doesnt sell them.

chip shops by me are open for delivery but im saving money as im obviously not earning as much so been about 3 weeks

They seem to be black country exclusive i think although im sure ive ate them elsewhere, if your ever around grab a bag they are so nice

Actually some Chinese do battered chips here in Scotland.Yeah I was going to say, "salt & pepper chips" from Chineses up here are often battered. Depends where you get them, it's probably about 50/50 whether they'll be battered or not. The battered ones are nicer though :hee:.

I’ve had those in the States !!
They came on a bed of sweet-batter scrapings and had casted sugar sprinkled over the top


Heavenly at a dollar each !!!
