Less then 20 people are being treated so they are planning on putting in on Standby as soon as the patients are able to safely moved and all staff and PPE will be relocated to suitable hospitals in London.

yesterday one of the journalists suggested it was a big mistake to have extra capacity and the Nightengales were a mistake...:skull: like we are no where near out of the woods and I suppose he would have rathered there were no extra critical care beds and people were dying on floors so he would have something to complain about.

Stephen Powis the NHS Director who is normally a very mild mannered man snapped him down which was nice to see for once

He has a point though... having the extra capacity is great, that wasn't the issue though was it. The issue was staffing nightingales.

Personally I would have had all covid patients treated there and none at regular hospitals. With their own dedicated (and well protected) staff.
