oh tough, I think start to finish, character development, ending etc Breaking bad has to be up there. Game of Thrones at it's peak moments was better than BB I thought but not as a whole series. Six feet Under was also a really good whole series. Dexter at one point was my favourite show but the last season ruined it. As for sitcoms Fr Ted

The Royle Family but based on current I'd say Money Heist

Breaking Bad, nothing compares, groundbreaking interwoven storylines, gripping character and plot-based drama, not one filler episode, expertly crafted and connected wonderfully from start to finish, doesn't get too dreary in its drama either, takes advantage of enjoying its spacious and lively atmosphere.

How many TV shows from the 50s, 60s, 70s 80s and 90s have you watched so you can compare?

The Wire. Closely followed by The Sopranos.
Game Of Thrones let itself down with the last two seasons.

Tough one. I grew up with The Wire, The Sopranos, Lost and 30 Rock and love them for so many different reasons.
If I HAVE to keep one, I would say Lost even though the ending wasn't great (that was to be expected, but still). I really got into the fandom, the enigma, the plot, the characters etc
I never got that thrill since (or before), and just for that reason I put it on top.
Reality TV wise, it obviously is Big Brother, because it has taught me the basics of the English language and how to spell "Balloon" :joker: My English grades got better thanks to that and I ended up living in the UK for a while, so I have a personal connection with this show.

Battlestar Galactica 2003 Reimagining, it basically gave HBO the idea to make GOT into a TV Series imo.
Out of more recent Shows that I've watched though, I have loved Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans, Sonic Boom, Mindhunter, and Dark.
Seasons 2-3 of Avatar: The Last Airbender are really strong too.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Power Rangers (faves of those for me are Time Force, Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed Rescue, Ninja Storm)
Star Trek (Voyager, TNG, Original series)
but more recently i love
Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Marvel's Agents of Shield, Lost, Riverdale
Lost In Space, The 100
series gone too soon (axed too soon): Flashforward, the event, terra nova :( :( :(

BSG remake is excellent but got slightly muddled in the final season IMO. I personally liked the ending but I understand why a lot of people didn't.
However, it didn't inspire them to make GOT. They made "Rome", which was amazing but only spanned two 6-episode seasons... It's excellent from start to finish... And very clearly the inspiration for the GoT TV series. I think it's actually higher quality though.

It was probably number one of all time until the final episode. And then the final episode came out and it fell out of the top 100.

I'm thinking the brutality and darker edges of GOT wouldn't have seen it even make the airwaves without BSG already being a success at that kinda thing already.
Plus imo BSG's last season whilst ropey in places, it never gave me a season like season 8 of GOT thankfully, although I could've done without a certain relationship forming in season 4.:joker:
I've never watched Rome, is it a good show then?

Rome is full of boobs, penises and severed limbs and heads... you will get a definite early GoT vibe from it :joker:. In all seriousness though it's an excellent show, 8.7 on IMDB and still definitely worth a watch. It's also only 22 episodes start to finish so not a huge time commitment.

I disagree. Wasn't a big fan of the final season as a whole tbh, not just the last episode. But I really can't discount those first 4 seasons and the quality television it provided even if the last season didn't live up to the standard it set itself.
I keep waiting for Terry O'Quinn to take on another big role.

100% this
The only thing I'll say is there ARE filler episodes but they're so well done that even those are a great watch. Never seen a show near this level before... amazing :clap1:
