It is time to let the competition begin again! I, with Shaun's knowledge AND Riley's (Wizard) lovely ideas, decided to create a spiritual successor to TiBB Eurovision. In August, we were in Pittsburgh, then to the Gold Coast in October, in Belgrade back in January, in March, we were in Oslo, last month, we were in Manchester. Cut to next month, and we'll be in both Rome and Milan! What songs will be heard? Where are the constant translations into French? When will the madness end? No idea.

FORMAT
The format of the TiBB Music Festival will remain similar to TiBB Eurovision, however, there are some changes. I will have a Spotify playlist of all of the songs for you to listen to the songs during the 4 day voting periods. For the voting, there will also be 2 sets of points (just like TiBB Eurovision), however, everyone will be sending 1 sets of 4-8, 10, and 12 points for the jury voting, and there will be a second set of 4-8, 10, and 12 points for televoting (split via age group).

RULES
- If you want to take part, reply to this thread with the countries you want! But please, if you do reserve a country, I expect an entry.
--From this edition onwards, everyone can choose 2-7 countries to participate as.
- In a change from TiBB Eurovision, participants can now choose a song that is already in the public database (look on Spotify or YouTube, there are plenty of songs on either one).
- Lyrics, an artist name, song title AND music video are all that's required.
- Members may only represent between two and seven countries.
- Entries must be submitted to me as soon as possible. The events of the contest will take place over the course of a 2 week period.
- And for the first time since Globalvision, countries that are not in Europe or Australia will be able to participate.
- For the first time (in order to cut down on editing one video), there will be two semi-finals, and they will be posted on the same day.

You have as much time as you need to find your entries. Please find songs that we all may enjoy, and please don't feel afraid to take part The more entries, the more fun it is to run. Songs can be about anything you like, and whilst we are fairly liberal with what is deemed "in good taste" obviously a song containing 30 different death threats may well find itself lost in my inbox and doomed never to enter.

The winner of this glorious festivity shall also receive a supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics this lovely little award (which has been potentially lost in the TiBB Admin towers)! https://i.imgur.com/pCZ1tmH.png - so if that isn't motivation to bring your A-game, I don't know what is.

Like last edition, the Big 6 (the top 6 of the previous edition) will all qualify for the final. All of the countries mentioned below will be free game (sans all of the ones I have, because some things never change with me, and because of the nature of the new participation rule).

Morgan, you don't have to send in votes for the reasons you said (since they'll be replaced with aggregated results). You can still vote in the televoting part, as that is just voting for 3, 4, or 5 countries.

Miro ''a mark of my soul'' is the english translation of the title, song is completely in bulgarian though, very ethnic balkan ballad

Jolanda Becker ''song of hope'' is from this years afrimusic contest, and i had thought this one's message is very fitting for current times, we can also use extra hope/light now

O'G3NE you might know from eurovision 2017 ''lights and shadows'' and Kinda Wanna is a very bubbly upbeat pop song

Erika Vikman had a lot of hype this year at NF season in finland, this one is a slightly older song of hers but really catchy, and to me very good fun

Mishel & Julia ''tears'' has a lot of Edward Maya vibes, very feel good music, and has a special place in my heart, since they had replied to my YouTube comment for them what they loved :love:

Is a festival like this planned for 2023? I want to visit Italy the following summer, and it would be really cool to catch such an event while being there. I could not travel during the COVID era, and now I finally have the possibility to do that.
The only thing I’m worried about regarding such events is the crowd. I hate large and uncontrolled crows because they are dangerous and make me extremely anxious. And there are almost no ways to control such a crowd. Only the things like stanchions in Canada (https://alphacrowdcontrol.com/) can help with it because they break the crowd into smaller groups that are less chaotic.
Hopefully, this festival will be well-organized, and there will be no panic.

yes, two Sanremo's actually


first you got San Remo Giovani (newbies competition, there couple will qualify to the main festival) and then the main event of San Remo, with lots of participating artists for the main competition, and also many guest performers, a show which can last up to 4 or 5 hours


and the winner doesn't necessarily have to go to ESC, since this is a festival on its own for domestic music scene, they will be asked after the results, if the winner declines, then the runner up is asked after, 3rd, 4th and so on, however when approached before the festival begins in song submissions period, they are asked already if they are interested in going to ESC
