I cant recall seeing so many folk out on bikes, which is great. you literally cant buy a bike at mo as every shop is sold out unless you want to spent like 3 grand.
There is no better way to see your local area and get fit
DO you cycle?

Grim is about to sell his electric bike ~ only mths old ~ no job ~ no longer required !
Our local bike shop just moved to much bigger premises and opening day he sold every bike in the shop, business is booming in the bike world.
I like casual cycling to a pub for lunch. I don't like the lyra brigade all going around in massive groups taking it far too seriously

I bike about 25-30km daily. On my days off I go for 70 -100km rides with my kid. I'd say I'm a fan!!
It's amazing to hear how bikes are everywhere in Europe rt now. I know some countries have subsidies for buying Cycles... does the UK have one at the moment??

Yes for some years now companies have run ‘buy a bike schemes’

Not a big fan of it, haven't done it in soooo many years. I only ever had my own bike when I was much younger.

I love cycling but it is impossible at the moment to buy a bike like you say. I’ve been after a decent mountain bike for some time but most are all sold out so I’m having to use a friends push bike instead. They’re great fun tho.

Oh my word I thought id be the only one who cant ride a bike....i mean i can do a bit I can balance etc but didnt have my own as a child so i would usually get a lift on the back of one of my friends bikes. My parents couldnt be arsed training me(same with learning how to play football, and swimming but I taught myself that one) so never really learnt and hadnt the desire too at any point I drive or walk. Once my entire family went to Centre Parcs all sodded off on their bikes really far away leaving me trailing in my own on a bike that I didnt know how to ride and had to walk with the whole way, took me ages to find them. Must have only been about 13!
