More then ever it’s important in times like this to remind ourselves of how LGBT freedom exists today because of a black trans women named Marsha P Johnson. She devoted her life to LGBT rights and was on the front line of the stonewall riots. There’s an amazing documentary about her life I would recommend on Netflix as well.

(No intensive comments or attempts to cause a attention, I’ll like to remind non-black, cis people, straight people etc before you think of saying that YOU are discriminated against have you ever had to fight as hard as Marsha to survive, to find a voice, to be regarded as a human and more to tragically loose your life through cold blooded murder. Please think.)

A gorgeous and inspiring woman. I hope to be half as brave as her in life. I hope she rests in peace <3

This is why I get so angry when I cis people in the community try and exclude trans and non-binary people. They fought hard and risked a lot so we could live as freely as we do

A legend  accomplished so much and changed so many lives in such a short one herself. I hope something comes of the reopening of the investigation of her death, because she clearly did not commit suicide.

education on these issues is so important, i didn’t know anything about her fight a few years ago. I learnt it’s so important to know the routes of your history.
