Anybody watching the UK championship final? It stands at 8-8 atm with 3 frames left to play. It’s been really close and Robertson just broke the record of most centuries in a UK championship.

9-9 down to the last frame. Robertson really putting the pressure on Trump.

This one frame has gone on for nearly an hour. They both must be so mentally exhausted.

Robertson won the championship. He potted the pink and didn’t know if he had won or not he was that exhausted . Shame for Trump though he made some really good safety shots in that final frame.
How did Trump miss that Pink? the absolute Clown!

Great final frame
Mind you, nothing will beat the Wilson/McGill semi final decider at the World’s this year. Best frame in snooker history
Conclusion of the World final today.
Mark Selby leads Shaun Murphy 10-7 overnight
Game gets back underway very shortly.
I'm shouting for Selby to win his forth title and put himself up there with the all time greats.
Full House and electric atmosphere at the Crucible.
I've just walked past Shaun Murphy. I was just walking in the town centre and Shaun Murphy with some guy, I presume his manager or dad, with his snooker cue case in hand.
So I Googled to see if there is a tournament in Hull and there is. Only eight players are in the tournament and one is my favourite player, Mark Selby, I wish I'd have seen him instead, I'd have asked for a selfie.

There's been a protest at the world championship. Two people tried to get to the table. One got on the table and poured a orange powder all over it.
Dont know what they were protesting
Why didn't nobody tell me the World championships had started?
This is what happens when you no longer watch TV. Unless someone mentions it, you miss the things you actually liked.

Just caught this as it happened. Madness. The girl had STOP on her tshirt, wonder if it had anything to do with the protests at the National at weekend?

I think it was down to him walking past me. That was his inspiration.
I made this post because it's not everyday I walk by famous World champion sportsmen. I was a bit a taken back.
He actually looked smaller and skinnier in the flesh than he does on the telly.
Sick of these protestors trying to ruin everything for the normal public, need to start giving serious sentences for stuff like that or it's only going to get worse

This country can't even punish Paedophiles and animal abusers, let alone something that's a bit more morally complex.

That's not a protest, that's criminal damage. He's damaged other people's property.
That's like me putting a brick through this guys window and smashing every bit of his property I can get my hands on and then claim that I'm protesting oil. Do you think this guy would support that protest?
i think they have to separate protest from criminal damage. If they commit criminal damage in the process of protesting, it should be an offence that results in them being locked up
Luca Brecel is the first player into the final. After a stunning comeback in the Quater-final to beat Ronnie o'Sullivan, he out did that in the semi-final by breaking the crucible comeback record. He trailed 14-5 before coming back to win 17-15.
The second semi-final is about to start. Mark Selby leads Mark Allen 11-10 going into this final session. They're already behind in frames having only played 21 frames so far when they should have already played 24. There is potentially 12 frames left if this goes all the way, and with the pace this tactical battle is going, they could still be playing at 3 o clock in the morning or later.
It may not go late after all. Selby has taken the first four frames of the session and now is just two frames away, leading 15-10.
Selby is a Green bays genius.
Is Ronnie still in the competition ?

Well done to Luca Brecel.
Pulling off his own Birmingham City style comeback against Swansea moment.
Mark Selby has just done a 147. The first ever in a World championship final.

Who will win/who are you rooting for? Selby or Brecel?
I'd like a Luca victory, but then it would be a great and massive achievement for Selby to take the title for a fifth time so whatever will be. X

2 Selby is representing England and Brecel is representing Belguim.
I wouldn't want Belguim to beat England in the Football World championship final.

Ah yes, that's one way of looking at it. OK. I'll change my mind then and root for Selby.
Bracel leads 9-8 overnight.
Great evening session from Selby who was 6-2 down after this afternoons first session.
He's clawed his way back and made history with the first 147 in a final.
It's a great game. Brecel is playing very well too. The question is, can he maintain it? Selby is tried and tested and is a last day specialist.

Selby is still the favourite with the bookies
Selby is still the favourite with the bookiesFor sure, he's one of the greatest ever players.
He just produced one of the greatest ever moments in the history of Snooker tonight.
Great moment for the referee to call a 147 in his final match too. I'm glad the referee enjoyed and milked the occasion.

Luca on the brink of the title. He leads 15-10 going into tonight's final session. Three frames away.
Only thing Selby can hope for is for Luca to get finishing line jitters. Luca is playing too good and has been the player of the tournament. He probably deserves to win it.

Hopefully Luca finishes it off as Selby is just painful to watch, despite his greatness. Parts of his match V Allen had me wondering whether I had some rope and a short ladder.

A good tactical battle of Snooker chess is far more entertaining than one break and frame over, there's no drama in that. Selby games bring drama.

Patience is one thing, but I've seen him deliberately go full Ebdon and just take ages for no reason, including 6 and a half minute shot against Higgins when he was in zero danger. I like a tactical battles, but I'm against gamesmanship.
Selby was dynamite in those last 3 frames.
And his football team now winning after being 1 down. Could be an omen!

I would guess an illness or a miscarriage, but just guesses based on what Luca said.

Yeah I thought maybe the former, just wondered if it was something basically common knowledge or something still quite private. He seemed to handle it quite delicately anyway
Can't believe that fairly simple Black that Selby missed in frame 32 after being on a role. Disappointed for the Jester but the best player won. Luca played so well and beat three legends along the way to win it in Williams, Ronnie and Selby.
No first time champion has ever defended the title. Luca now becomes the next player to attempt that.
Soooo .
In March the top 8 players including of course Ronnie O'Sullivan will be taking part in a snooker tournament that will include an EXTRA ball !!
A gold ball worth 20 points !!
Not for the purists but certainly worth a watch !!

Where is it's spot on the table?

Barry Hearn is trending for suggesting that the Crucible is far too small and so isn’t fit for purpose.. he says that they may have to move location to China or the Middle East..
Thing is the Crucible contract is in place for another 4 years so I’m not sure why he’s having such a publicised bitching session
Surely he should have thought about this when he signed the original agreement
