Both officers, a man and a woman,
suffered minor injuries, with one
of the officers being punched in the head
Two men, aged 20 and 38, were arrested

That’s the other side of the coin, but I’m sure some will say it’s justified.

What a hero that guy is .. I hope he doesn’t become a target from those idiots - I fear the worst though - he was very brave on a few levels . The policewoman did well also .
They should arrest and charge those attacking the cop ... I couldn’t watch it all but we have some crazy people on our streets .
Plus what strange behaviour from that first big guy on the scene whose first thought was to start taking photos and filming it all then than moron who was dancing around like a little exited child !!

Any need to call him a black criminal?Yep. Arista you do this all the time and I've called you out on it before. Why do you feel we need to know the race of the attacker? The original article doesnt mention his race at all but you've got it in the title. :conf:

Hackney is a ****hole though so I can't say I'm even surprised

Knife crime, gun crime and gang crime are predominantly black crimes. So what do the police do now? Stop and search is a no-no. When it's pointed out that young black men are over-represented in violent crime it's claimed to be a racist comment.

Apparently black lives don't matter when they're killing each other?

Because it is a racist comment. I mean do you think black men are over represented in violent crime because something in their "black genes" make them more violent or do you think it's a socio-economic issue that would effect any race (like the Scottish knife crime issue that has been brought up before). Pointing out that it's a "black crime" is wrong because being black isn't the reason that they turn to crime, surely pointing out the real reason is the sensible thing to do if the cause is to be tackled properly?

It's the very thing I don't understand. It affects the black community disproportionately, it's their young men it's taking. I think a start would be to have more black officers, reflecting the society they serve.

So you don't think it's a socio economic issue rather than black people in general just being more violent than white people? OK.......

The difference being, people on the street didn’t take an oath to serve and protect everyone, BLM is about people in power disproportionately killing unarmed black people and getting away with it, time and time again

Okay, so it's a socio economic issue. But that's the cause, and the symptom is that knife crime, gun crime, and gang crime is higher in their communities. Whatever the solution is, it won't be helped by not taking steps to stop those crimes from happening.

I don't know what the reason is. I know that there are people of ALL races in the poorest boroughs. I know that young African Caribbean males are more likely to be involved in violent crime. Criminologists and Sociologists have been asking the same question for years and you're asking me to come up with the answer here?
Okay...………………..

Absolutely and the cause should be clearly identified, calling most violent crimes "black crimes" only muddies the waters when looking at solutions, the solution isn't to help people "be less black" ffs, it's to help people to be able to have and want to have better prospects in life...like how they tackled the issue in Glasgow when knife attacks were a predominantly "white crime" (course no one called it that then.......case in point)

Who said anything about "being less black?" :joker:
Yes, education in their communities should be invested in, help keep them from falling into a life of crime.
At the same time, police shouldn't be impeded from tackling crimes that happen.

The indicators of these issues have been the same for a couple of hundred years. Poverty, masculinity, access to education, and exposure to domestic violence.
England used to have white street gangs (and still does) involved in exactly the same kind of things that has now been labelled as "black on black" crime. Several regions in the country have higher "murder rates" than London does, and some of the most horrific incidents of knife crime over the last few years haven't included black people as either the perp or the victim, such as the 13yr old girl stabbed to death in Southampton, a 7yr old girl stabbed to death in York, and a 5yr old stabbed to death by the mother in Oxfordshire.
But when both parties are white, race suddenly loses it's importance in the conversation. The black on black narrative is purely to drive up the impression that the blackness is the key indicator. What about kids with a white parent? Is it the black half taking over the white half?
No one ever uses blackness as the reason for overachievement. The most academically successful family in the country is from Ghana, and the 4 y youngest pupils in the country to achieve GCSE's are all also black.

For some context. In 2017 there were 117 murders in London, 21 of which were of teenage black boys, and in 2018, there were 134 and 24 were of teenagers in general.
Still too high, but it's not quite the wild west.

Black people in majority white countries dont are more likely to live in poorer areas, have limited access to education and other important things.
The UK needs to invest a lot into the black community and give them just as good of a start to life that white privileged males get

Okay.
Any person suspected of carrying a weapon or drugs should be searched regardless of ethnicity.

What do you mean by suspected? what's the context? What would lead an officer to suspect anyone? Obviously weed has a strong aroma, but how could anyone be suspected of carrying a concealed knife (as an example?)

Young violent black men come from good black parents they have the opportunity to gay to school, in fact parents get procecuted for not sending them to school.
Some don’t want to get an education and work some want street crime lifestyle which is take what they want.
Black men from poor families make something of their lives and become rich and respected.

Whatever reason leads police to suspect someone of carrying a knife, I'm not a copper
It's better for someone to be needlessly searched, be found with nothing, and it be done and dusted within a few minutes than it is for the police to be unable to search someone who goes on to injure others.

I think it's mostly the boarding schools that give the opportunity to gay to school.
