Cool, I liked Miles in Spiderverse! I've not read his comics (I'm a DC guy) but Spidey powers are awesome whoever's in the suit.

I read somewhere earlier that this is actually going to by Spider-man PS4 remastered for PS5 and with a new "follow-up" storyline as Miles set after the main game? But will feature new powers and abilities/new storyline (but the same "playground"). And a full length main plot, not "DLC-sized".
Dunno how accurate that is. I'd still be here for it, was considering a Spider-man replay but will probably just wait.

They might just include the ps4 game so people don't have to rebuy it with a remaster, or include it in the Double deluxe, expert gold edition.
Gutted that I won't get to spend an hour sneaking around, avoiding glass as MJ though!

The MJ and Miles sections were awful. They were fine storyline wise but they were so badly executed... Trying to shoehorn stealth segments into a fast paced action game was a terrible idea :worry:

Got through the first one during lockdown and really enjoyed it - not sure I'd get a new console just to play this though.. was rather late to the PS4 anyway!

I got 100% on the campaign and all the DLC in the first one which is something I never do since I hate menial tasks but I loved the game, it's a shame that this isn't a full sequel but we know it's coming since there's been a lot of leaks so I assume this definitive edition will basically be a stopgap game.

I got Spider-Man for PS4 but I haven’t played much, idk I don’t really enjoy the combat, swinging around is tiresome and fixing radio towers / taking pictures of landmarks is repetitive.

The combat vastly improves with upgrades though and you don't actually have to do the photographing/radio tower type stuff. But then I loved just swinging around and also 100%'d it so...

Hmmmm but the mention of Lost Legacy sort of means that it's NOT a brand new game in the truest sense, because Lost Legacy was originally intended to be DLC that grew and grew to the point where they could no longer call it DLC and fleshed it out into a separate game.
But it means that it's essentially a new adventure made on the same engine, with the same assets, as Spider-Man which makes it more a "sibling game". Or a very large, standalone DLC with a premium scale and price.
Not that I mind so long as the storyline is good, as I said before the engine is great and I love the game. Just not exactly a "truly" next gen title if it's likely to be running exactly the same engine with exactly the same asssets, maybe a few texture upgrades and post-processing stuff.

Plus another 20+ hours for the sidestuff, I bet.
The main story in these games are always short compared to the sidequests and activities.

Apparently this will take 10 hours to complete :skull:Main story or 100%? I don't think the first game was much over 10h main story, at a guess... A lot of my play time for 100% was the challenges and just swinging around doing random stuff. And it wasn't a huge amount of time spent for the platinum tbh.
Its an important distinction really. I read the other day that the "main quest" of Skyrim takes 10 - 12 hours but the average play through is over 150 hours [emoji23].
