Not sure using the matters as an attempt to mock BLM reflects that well on you, parmy.
This is a weird one for me; obviously their behaviour is crazy, dangerous, and unnecessary, but I also get the desire after being locked up, to go out and for people to spoil themselves a bit as a treat. Same reason the people mocking those lining up outside Primark are off base.

I felt sorry for the guy opening the door, looked like he was there on his own, why haven't they got marshalls in the street distancing and ordering the queue, like they have seen supermarkets have to do?
watched the video now I see they have but they are taking no notice, is there a sale or something :suspect: just step back

No body gives a ****, so much for masks in public transport as well...more unmasked than masked people in the buses I'm passing..including the drivers

Something tells me that queue was not a lockdown type of queue

I still strongly contest that a trip to Primark can be described as a "treat". Maybe some sort of obscure punishment?

Not sure how putting a few amps on the street (even turn't up to 11) would do much good.

Easy to say, harder to do. When you work for a chain store, you open at the time that is mandated unless you have a valid reason. Not having a literal mob outside would be enough of an excuse depending on the company. You've also got to acknowledge that everyone who works in retail basically has to appease the public at any given time. Telling a crowd like that to get in order or you wont open the shop would lead to so much ****.
When the lockdown was fully in effect, you'd get people screeching bloody murder when told they couldn't come to stores in groups, workers would be abused and threatened for just trying to enforce the rules because companies think that it's best to stick anyone on the door and not hire, you know, professionals. A crowd of entitled people like that who thinks it's their god given right to buy shoes because they're dumb enough to think things are back to normal would never be controlled or contained by people untrained to do so.
Unless the shop is independent, there's probably not a lot they can do when it comes to trying to enforce the rules by keeping shut when they are told to open by higher ups.

Maybe I'm a snob but I hate the thought of buying sneaks from a shop like that, who knows how many manky chav feet have been in them before?
