I don't know whether or not Long-Bailey holds antisemetic thoughts in her head, but the article she shared does teeter a bit close to "it's all the Jews' fault!!!"

Sir Kier almost had to ask her to step down, for the optics if nothing else. In a similar way that businesses and media are "Taking the knee" about every little thing which could have been seen as racist, he needs to almost go overboard when it comes to dealing with antisemitism.

That's not a conspiracy theory. It's a fact that Israel trains many of the worlds police forces. In fact the original article actually included a link to amnesty international on the Israeli training of police forces.

I think linking George Floyd in anyway to Israel was a mistake by Maxine, and that's definitely iffy, but at no point did RB attack any jews.

Yeah, that's actually true. Read my post above where I said maxine saying that was iffy and linking Israel to George Floyd was wrong, but the fact Israel trains police forces is 100% correct.

I agree. She should have known better, and that people would be waiting to push the antisemitism line at the earliest opportunity.

I think it's an overreaction, but I also completely understand why Starmer did it. However, Rachel Reeves praised Nancy Astor, a famed and open anti-semite and she gets to keep her job, although Nancy Astor is well liked by tories, so there's no danger of having anti semitism spread across the papers for her.

I'm quite impressed with Starmers response on this. While not explicitly anti-semitic, the article does reek of the unhealthy obsession with 'the evil of Israel' which has made so many Jews think the party is hostile towards them. Many countries around the world cooperate in the training of their police forces but of course its the Israeli training that caused a Minnesota police officer to kill someone, they do control everything after all

I actually like his appointments.

I don't think it matters which side of the party shadow appointments are.
It's good he's already shown no matter who they are.
He will act to put in place trust again, particularly on any even possible antisemitism issues.

I like Rebecca,she ought to have known better than this really.
She was at Jeremy Corbyn's side all through and saw the damage,even the slightest issue brought to him.
