We have an International Eisteddfod every year (not this year though ta 'Rona) that's world famous that gets worldwide TV coverage but other than that I'm struggling.

Oh and Dot Cotton did an Eastenders spin-off up here years ago, something to do with where the character was evacuated to during WWII.

There's a scene in Star Wars the last Jedi filmed in Cork so that's the most famous even though its just a small bit. Apparently the 1956 film Moby Dick was filmed in Cork.

The Wind that Shakes the Barley also starring Cillian Murphy and Michael Collins starring Liam Neeson

here in Eindhoven few scenes of a bridge too far, the liberation of eindhoven scene

but more specifically in my street, quite a few scenes for dutch movie De Boskampi's action-comedy, about a kid who has wide imagination and pretends his father is a gangster to escape from their quite boring life

I'm told that the characters from Peep Show came here in a storyline, but I don't know if they actually filmed here as I've not seen it. Maybe they wanted to use the name of a town which has been called "the most adequate place to live" and "the most average town" ?

I'm nearly certain Wickies will have been in several shows, but as it's just a local park to me I don't really know. I think Come Dine was here once, or at least one of the contestants was and it was a county/locality episode rather than a town. We're a pretty small town (my "village" is easily walkable to the town centre and may as well just be a nice neighbourhood) and if Come Dine was filmed using only people from the town itself, they'd all be like one degree of separation from each other, if they didn't know each other anyway.

James Acaster filmed a homecoming thing for a comedy youtube channel.

Star wars is often filmed literally 5 mins from my house. They film all the scenes with the big spaceship thing there (idk what its called)

one of the recent Fast and Furious films was shot there too I think last year or the year before

Beyonce shot a music video in the same place too

I remember my dog ran onto the set of Avengers: Age Of Ultron. :hehe:

Things like Gladiator were filmed a 5 minute walk from me as well as one of the Coldplay videos (the Scientist I think?) it's the same spot.

I've seen my local high street in Cuckoo as well, the scene where Andy Samberg and that woman are singing. The local pond is supposed to be Thailand in that show as well:joker:

The most famous one I can find is Moby Dick, a lot of it was filmed in Youghal (pro. Y'all) in Co Cork.

Others are Michael Collins, Angela's Ashes (a lot was filmed in Cork even though it was set in Limerick) The Wind that Shakes the barley, the inside hotel scenes from The lobster are a Hotel in Cork, Some scenes/views in The Last Jedi were in Cork but the actual island where Luke is living is off Co Kerry
