Survivor 41 pulled from CBS fall schedule

To be expected but actually pretty big news because this is the first time the show is breaking its fall/spring air schedule in two decades. TAR32, a season that filmed nearly two years ago but has been continually delayed because CBS is awful, will be airing in its place.

I think this also more or less confirms that the show would rather not air than leave Fiji which is... a choice and a half. But that's a different conversation.

Well, the thing about Survivor being in Fiji all the time is due to tax credits and they've had such a good time filming there. Plus, they've had the place where Ponderosa is booked for liked 2 years in advance.

It's just cheap and overdone at this point. It makes sense from a monetary standpoint because they have contracts worked out with the Fijian government and can produce seasons very cheaply, but it's so boring at this point and it's kind of a problem when you can recognize the beaches just from certain rocks and trees that you see over and over again from season to season. Not to mention that reusing the same location means that we have to get absurd themes. Can't wait until we get Survivor: Black Lives Matter vs. Blue Lives Matter vs. All Lives Matter :skull:

Given the backlash this kind of season received back in the day, I don't think it's going to happen.
But it's not that unlikely from Probst though :joker:
or a Democrats vs Republicans vs Tea Party season :skull:

season 42 will air in spring 2022, and castings have started for seasons 43 & 44
