Walking dead. From its premise, that seemed like something I'd like, to all my friends telling me I was definitely gonna like it and then it was hugely disappointing. I dont think it was built up too much, No I genuinely dont rate it..

I agree with you on EastEnders.
Tbh I have a lot of Shows that I just don't connect with, but none worse than a Show called The Sinner, Season 1 has to be one of the most torturous seasons of a TV Show that I've ever seen in my life. Along with Locke & Key.

Every singing show (how are these shows still a thing? it's the same every year, and only really about the judges)
Every Reality show (all of them, every single one)
Every Daytime BBC show (Bargain Hunt being the worst, they don't account for commission, the 'bidders' are obviously only bidding on the contestants trash to get their faces on the TV, and they're encouraged by the contestants shouting and cheering them on, so unrealistic and the 'expert is patted on the back if he/she makes a quid profit when in reality they'd be £20 down)
Every Soap (emmerdale used to be the only one i could tolerate, i can't now)
Anything involving Claire Balding (luckily her popularity has sunk faster than a pebble in the ocean)
All the Channel 5 Benefit Shows (just ridiculous, cheap to produce rubbish)
There's a lot more i can't stand, and yes im a miserable bastard.

Quick question ..... is a TV forum the best place for you?

Yeah sure why not? Is this a TV forum then? Seems it has a bit of everything, sports, video games, news, serious debates/discussions.

Well i liked Big Brother, i mean it got worse as it went on mainly because of C5 recruiting Z-Listers for the civilian series. I know BB is classed as reality tv, but idk it's different to all the others.

I can enjoy pretty much any genre so long as its done well - but there's nothing worse than bad/unfunny comedy.
Dancing on ice
Strictly
the voice
the x factor
the kardashians
The list is endless
Marsh.

Yeah, "fly on the wall" shows like Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Especially, the American ones where they have them sat talking to the camera narrating what is being shown "Yeah, like, I went, like, shopping..." *shows clip of her walking into store* "...and like, I saw a pair of, like, totally cute jeans" *shows clip of her picking up a pair of jeans*
Mind NUMBING.
And the other variation where you get...
"Coming up on part 1 of the show..."
*Part 1 of the show*
"Coming up in part 2 of the show"
*Break*
"Here's what you just missed on part 1 of the show"
"Part 2"
*Here's what you missed on part 2*
etc
etc
AAARRRGGGHHH
Or the true crime shows that have multiple stories in each episode and they stop and start each story to keep you watching until the very end.

Yeah, I can just about tolerate watching football. What I can't cope with is an entire show dedicated to talking about it.

When I was 15, our English teacher told us Hollyoaks was a really a big hit show in the UK. When I first moved in England at 16 years old, the family I lived with didn't watch it but I asked to, since it was recommended. It was depressing. I liked Coronation Street better, even though I'm not a fan of soaps in general.
Never watched Hollyoaks or any of those when I have lived in the UK by myself :joker:
And I hate NCIS too, in whatever country I've watched it.

As a sports fan myself, particularly rugby, I can't watch those shows that comment over and over again what happened. I watch the game and my friends and I talk about it, but I can't sit for another hour listening to some dudes replaying it over again too.

Yeah, I can just about tolerate watching football. What I can't cope with is an entire show dedicated to talking about it.I learned to tolerate football from working in the bookies, I think simply because its always on and something to do if its quiet. I also got quite into watching the tennis in my time there, unironically - I actually quite enjoy it, but mainly just the bigger matches (q-finals onwards).
But yes in general I can't stand watching sport. I also don't naturally bother following it; it was a job necessity and definitely not out of choice. I can't tell you anything that's been happening in any sport since July 2019... The last day I locked that door :joker:.
I'd still have watched Wimblydon this year if it had been on, though.

I'd still have watched Wimblydon this year if it had been on, though. The reminds me, I love sport except that one. Has anyone watched the minor tournaments like all the American City opens etc. Horrendous standard. Literally, the player who makes the fewest mistakes will win or should I say, not lose. Really boring to watch double fault after double fault.

Tried so hard and just can’t get into FleabagI watched the first episode of it years ago and didn't like it but I gave it another go this weekend and pretty much binged the whole thing in one sitting, I loved it, really clever show imo and the characters are great

FBI: International.
I haven't seen the other two FBI's, and my Mom wanted me to get into the franchise so I picked the newest Show in the franchise because it had obviously made less episodes, so if I didn't like it I can get it done with quicker.
Now don't get me wrong I know that I'm incredibly harsh on American TV Shows (especially modern ones) but FBI: International after 21 episodes fails on a few very important areas imo for a Crime Procedural and they are.
1. The characters need actual personality.
2. Actual interesting cases.
3. Characters to actually have dynamics with each other.
4. The one dynamic the Show does have (the romance between the two leads) is written in the most rushed way that I have possibly ever seen in fiction, they have about 5 Seasons worth of material in one Season.
I'm sorry for the long rant, but I honestly have never seen a Show be so flat before.
