Actually, my mother in law makes an amazing angel food cake. I'd not had it before, it's not a cake we usually make in the UK but it was delicious. Not going to attempt one myself though, never pit yourself against the mother in law.

Lemon meringue pie is my absolute favorite.
Paris-Brest cake.
Trianon cake.
Mille-Feuille Cake (or called "The Napoleon")
Blueberry Muffins from Sainsbury's (I became obsessed with them when I arrived in the UK at 16, because muffins are not a thing in France)
Fox's Biscuits Party Rings. Same as Blueberry muffins.
Those Christmas cakes from Harrods.

My ex-boyfriend in Scotland LOVED eating dry oatmeal bars, wtf. They were his favorite.
Me looking at him eating (and hearing) those every morning is one of the main reasons I broke up with him, and totally not related to the fact he cheated.

Should be frangipane. Wasn't sure how to spell it, so used autocorrect! It's a little almond Belgian tart type thing. Absolutely delicious.

Panettone*is a dry,*cake-like bread that originated in Italy in the 1500s. It started off as a "luxury*cake" that was only eaten for religious celebrations
