Random £5 free bet on this game, no idea what to go for but this just felt right :think:

How do they get their opponent tho?? Like are the teams against each other just a random draw or something else? Ugh OKC need to bring the consistent results straight into the next round :fc:

And it goes from there based on their win/loss record so like the mid-tier teams are going at it right now in Round 1 - OKC Thunder vs. Houston Rockets being one of them :dazzler:

Surely they can :worry: They actually seem so overmatched by the Jazz but I'm just stubborn to go against them after I've already went for them 3 times in a row (tbf they've also won one for me when I bet them in the first game of these playoffs so one more today & they're 2-2 :fc:)

And lmaooo the Bucks are pretty damn good, that were #1 ranked this season (from before the restart in July - after the restart they were already guaranteed #1 seeding from winning so much and had nothing to play for so they didn't care much :laugh:). That said, they can still flop in the later rounds of these playoffs when they face TOUGH competition as well :fan:

As for the playoffs seeding/ranks... so like Top 8 in each conference qualify (with two conferences so 16 total playoff teams). Each conference plays each other in the playoffs until there's 1 each for the championship round. So it goes from 8 & 8 teams to 1 & 1 in one final round. The way the "seeding" (ranks) go for the playoffs is based on which team won the most games to the team that won the least games (of the top 8).

Using the Western Conference as an example, it was:

1. LA Lakers (52 wins)
2. LA Clippers (49 wins)
3. Denver Nuggets (46 wins)
4. Houston Rockets (44 wins)
5. OKC Thunder (44 wins)
6. Utah Jazz (44 wins)
7. Dallas Mavericks (43 wins)
8. Portland Trail Blazers (35 wins)

1 vs. 8, 2 vs. 7, 3 vs. 6, 4 vs. 5... and then the same for the Eastern conference. And it's a bracket styled Best of 7 games elimination format all the way to 1 champion in the end :clap1:

It's prob so confusing tho and I'm not great at explaining :joker:

Gahhh I'm SOOO unlucky with the over/under bets lately :skull: :joker:

Had the win going into the final seconds with under 213, then the score goes to 213 in the final seconds when the game was already out of hand anyway (ie. they should just be killing time / not caring for more points just finishing the game). Then the guy makes a contested final second shot for me to lose :facepalm: It went from 206 to 216 in like the final minute nnn

Oh well... also, won the boosted bet I posted above tho so there's that :clap2:

I had Denver Nuggets +3.5... They lost 127-129 but I win my bet. With the +3.5 I win 130.5-129 so they lose -> I still win :clap1:

Yeah I go for some accumulators (known as "parlays" here) but I really prefer the single bets. And that's because I very commonly will get like let's say 3/5, 6/11, 7/11 bets right in a day (as you see a lot in this thread too :laugh:) so I always felt doing a bunch of singles was more worth it in the long-term even if it's a much bigger risk doing as many singles as I do. :joker:

Maybe less reward, but i feel if you can do 'big ish' singles it's much safer. I mean you might lose overall but always end up with something :dance:

Yeah it's really tough getting them perfect, lots of luck needed. Don't get me wrong, i might do 5 different combos, £10 each, at least. So i better my chances. I never just do 5 games for £10 and win, i do between 5 and 10 accumulators :joker:

Also nice to profit though. Sports betting can be really fun, can be pretty frustrating, but that's gambling right?! :joker:

^ Yeah I get that, I could see it working well with the multiple parlay/accumulator strategy in a day but I still think I'd make such awful combos even on days where I do WELL so I'd manage getting a loss or two on every single parlay ffs :joker:

The player bets are like how many total points the player will score (points come in 2's & 3's in NBA - or 1 for free throws when they get fouled - like a penalty in soccer, idk if you know what "foul" is or not :fan:). Or total rebounds or assists too which I've tried a few of. Rebounds are when the player grabs the ball in the air after a missed shot, Assists are when the player passes it to a teammate & the teammate scores immediately after, well actually I think there's assists in soccer too)

(the player bets suck tho, I still feel that way and keep doing poorly with those :laugh: & at least luckily I've just been going for cheaper bets with those than my game bets)

Holy shiiiiiiit that game winner was AMAZING! Game winning 3 from the Raptors with 0.5 of a second left in the game

The player bets are like how many total points the player will score (points come in 2's & 3's in NBA - or 1 for free throws when they get fouled - like a penalty in soccer, idk if you know what "foul" is or not :fan:). Or total rebounds or assists too which I've tried a few of. Rebounds are when the player grabs the ball in the air after a missed shot, Assists are when the player passes it to a teammate & the teammate scores immediately after, well actually I think there's assists in soccer too)

(the player bets suck tho, I still feel that way and keep doing poorly with those :laugh: & at least luckily I've just been going for cheaper bets with those than my game bets)

"Touchdown" and that's when the team scores into the endzone (kinda like making a goal I guess) for 6 points. There's also a way to score 3 points for a "field goal" instead but for that TD bet I needed each team to score a touchdown and they all did! (it was a preeeetty easy bet, the site was kinda giving a freebie that was very unlikely to lose :clap1:)

Just got two bets for today. My site's glitching rn -well going through some maintenance or something- so off the top of my head my two bets for today are:

- Miami Heat +3.0 for $30
- 3-team college football parlay: Clemson, Pittsburgh & UCF all to win for $20 (double your money bet boost)

I can't remember 100% if those were the 3 teams but will update if I find out otherwise

"Touchdown" and that's when the team scores into the endzone (kinda like making a goal I guess) for 6 points. There's also a way to score 3 points for a "field goal" instead but for that TD bet I needed each team to score a touchdown and they all did! (it was a preeeetty easy bet, the site was kinda giving a freebie that was very unlikely to lose :clap1:)

Lol field goals are just when a team gets stopped short and then they bring out their kicker to try to kick the football in between the goal posts for 3 points (compared to 6 points if they made it all the way to the endzone for a touchdown)... Damn, just went 1/2 on those game bets I added. 1 yard away from scoring at the last second for the Patriots but they couldn't do it </3 Today was rooough :suspect: So many close calls at the end of games that went the wrong way for me. Couple loses by only a point and such as well. At a point during the 1:00 games it looked like things were gonna go REALLY well too, had a great pace going for almost every game :laugh:

Yeah I got into those years back and the bigger wins feel awesome but so much harder to maintain consistently & I can't take losing the parlays by one game, even like a 2/3 is just frustrating :joker: I think I already mentioned it here actually but my friend went 4/5 on NFL picks last Sunday for $20 with potential $500 win, losing that 5th game in the final minute. Just way too frustrating when stuff like that happens. But he's back at it again for tomorrow with a 6-game one and I can't even remember the last time he's won one tbh :joker: I think it was a $5 one for like $100 a while back

Those feel awful so I just stopped doing them besides a few very small ones (like 2-4 legs & betting on big favorites so not even big payouts usually) from time to time that helps me feel better about it. :laugh:

Yeah just goals, probably both teams to score. I prefer them because the bet always go to the last kick of the game. Doing total goals, like over 2.5 for example could be a dead bet if it's 0-0 after say 70 mins. But yeah i've had bets where a team is winning 5-0, then the last kick of the game makes it 5-1 :laugh:

The always-great Chiefs kicker missed a PAT (worth 1 point) & a FG (worth 3 points), so he cost me twice right there. By missing those 2 kicks he also cost me two of my other bets that he could've won for me (2+ TD, 1+ FG each & another one for pts every quarter). AAAAAAAAANYWAY, hoping for a turnaround coming up. :fc: I think I lost like $40-$50ish from Monday's bets but idk for sure, gonna count it all after Thursday

Ok so a BRILLIANT start to the betting weekend for me. I was a bit weary of gambling too much, in my head gave myself £10 for tonight and £20/30 for sat and sun. Well, two £5 bets tonight and two wins...WOOOO!!!

And my god, they were lucky. Perfect example of why i do both teams to score (see link - 0-0 until the 87th min, then 88th min a goal, then home team score in 90+8, insane and so lucky, but i'll take it)

I have 38 bets in for today :skull: But a few are duplicates (like combining two free $5 bets or adding money to a bet). Still think it's like 34-36 total bets. But a lot of cheaper bets and free $5 bets that I was hoarding. It's a struggle even putting all my picks here on Sunday lmaooo, I get hooked on too many :skull:

I can't believe I bet under in the Cowboys/Browns game. Couldn't believe it when I was looking through my bets & it was a ridiiiiculously over game (as should've been expected). Sometimes I add a few really stupid ones, idk what I was thinking the day I made that one :facepalm:

Overall doing pretty well so far, just better not do awful with the rest of the bets I have right now & tonight :fc:

Got 2/4 of my parlays (both around $20ish wins), but missed my biggest one for potential $114 return (gonna get either 3/5 or 4/5 in that one). This was fun for me but I'm getting hella bored/lazy over the past few weeks with tracking this every day so this is where it ends. (On a good note too, about +$90 yesterday on just 3 bets & pretty close to the highest overall $ since I started) (knew I should've bet Heat too tho :suspect: Heat keeping the series alive :clap1:)... here's the last few days' results on excel:

The final result while tracking in this thread was +$757.04 (it's 40 cents less on there because I started -$0.40 (on darts, soccer & like one baseball game) when I started excel-tracking a few days before I started posting results here.

Pretty much I've been tracking on excel and copy / pasting the daily results in here. Excel = makes your life easy :dazzler: the "entries" column is pointless, just something I added for tracking poker tournament results and then I just copied the same thing for sports betting

The win % ain't even that good but it helps to win your bigger bets, getting/winning free bets and getting some luck in like the 5:1, 10:1 type bets which I've had a bit of all 3 :clap1: Could be even better if I stuck to just what I know (NBA & NFL game bets with no other sports or 'player prop bets' buuuut that's all part of the gambling fun :dazzler:)

Hope to see this thread still used and I'll likely still post any crazy bets I have coming up / any crazy ones I won etc. :fc:

Got a few more crazy "anytime TD" bets won from Sunday-Tuesday. This guy McKenzie on the Bills who paid 10:1, Tysom Hill on the Saints paying 5:1 & a 6:1 bet boost etc. to name some of the crazier ones. Doing those for like $10~ each tho, just sometimes it's insane to me how I'm predicting some of these & then missing out on a 1:1 payout that SHOULD happen :joker:
