No I’ve been watching the Stair Case, have you seen it? It’s good but there’s a lot of filler in the eps
My mum used to watch the old version of this on crime on sky
...I’ll start watching in a bit....(...so long as it’s on Netflix that is...)...

...yeah I watched that a few years ago, it’s excellent...also When They See Us/The Central Park Five is an emotional watch...
Is Unsolved Mysteries good?
...yeah it is, the stories are really quite horrific though and obviously unsolved so it’s heartbreaking that people haven’t been brought to justice...

What do you think?
I think it’s very odd, I don’t see how she could have that many cuts on her head from falling, but at the same time the lack of bloody splatter on the roof, lack of a murder weapon and there being a lack of spatter on him and her having blood on her feet very confusing..
In terms of the actual documentary too I find it drags A LOT, they could cut it down massively to about 7 episodes rather than 13, I don’t care about all these scenes where he’s chatting to his family about the case. ALSO it annoyed me that in the first half of the documentary they didn’t show Denver (?) the SBI agent who testified re the blood splatter. I feel like they painted Mike in a VERY positive light and it kind of came back to bite them because when it comes out that a lot of the evidence (which you don’t even hear about in the first place) has been faked, you’re just like wtf?? Why didn’t they show that in the first place.
Also in the penultimate (?) episode, someone mentions that she was strangled before she was beaten, yet that’s not mentioned once throughout the entire thing.
Thinking about it now, I think it’s more likely that he did actually do it. It’s annoying that the documentary makers have painted him in such a positive light, rather than just giving the viewers all the evidence to decide for themselves
...this first Cold Case/Shauna is a difficult watch......

There's a theory about an owl that sounds far fetched on the face of it but would explain a lot of her injuries and how she was found

An owl?!
As in an owl flew in attacked her and she fell?

An owl?!
As in an owl flew in attacked her and she fell?Apparently there was a certain type of owl in that area that became very aggressive during mating season (which it was at that time) if it attacked her it would explain the long cuts that they thought came from that fire blower thing, plus apparently they found her own hair in her hands too which could happen if an owl was attacking her head, would explain why she might have been thrashing around and fell funny and I think I also read that there were feathers found near her body (but I need to check that again)

Yeah they did find feathers, here read this
https://www.vulture.com/2018/06/the-staircase-netflix-owl-theory-explained.html
...I’ve watched the first two so far...
...the first one, Little Girl Lost with the killing of Shauna on Halloween was particularly upsetting ...she should have lived her life but it was taken from her by those three evil men...the Killings on Christmas Eve/Ed and Minnie..it was very sad and I have to say that I started off thinking that maybe it was family who had killed them...?..It really doesn’t Feel that justice was served at all after 27yrs of freedom the brothers had...one never having to face any punishment and living out how whole life...and the other sentence was just but I doubt much would ever be served because the guy needed an oxygen tank to breathe...I loved the closeness of the family/the grandchildren...
Is each episode a different case?
...so sorry, I’ve just seen this Luke...yeH, it’s a different case for each episode and probably around 45 minute episodes, so quite an easy watch...(...well, not easy in terms of the content of each episode but you know what I mean, it’s easy to dip in and out with shorter episodes and each one a different case...)...

Almost sounds like one of those things that’s so crazy it’s probably true
...with Staircase I always felt that he did kill her but I think that I have heard the owl theory though...I haven’t really read thoroughly about it and it could be a ‘stranger than fiction’, type thing, which was the truth...
..I watched the 3rd episode of cold cases...these are just so agonisingly, heartbreakingly sad......
...the story of Tina Faelz... “Somebody killed a little girl” completely sets the horrific reality of what happened, in those few words...that she was stabbed 44 times and that she was still alive at the 38th time that knife went into her body...it’s impossible to not be brought to tears, which I was......and how her mother’s life was ‘taken’ also from that day...and how she died without ever seeing Carlson brought to justice, her heart unable to bear that trial...Tina’s brother lost a sister and a mother that day.....I know these cases are solved but it’s still left feeling so empty because of the years of freedom had by the people who have committed these heinous crimes....with Tina, that little girl...?...the 45th wound and blow was given by the justice system/the appeals court who reduced his sentence to second degree murder...life is just terrible wrong at times, so wrong....

haven't seen this one, but i did see few similar shows on C & I (Crime & Investigation), that one also broadcasts other ''hardcore'' reality police shows like one what shows the life of police men/women 24/7
as for investigation type of reality shows, i like oldschool stuff like Forensic Detectives, but also Dr G: Medical Examiner, on the case with Paula Zahn, Deadly Women, Tabloid with Jerry Springer, I am Homicide
those shows over on ID
..I watched 5 episodes but I need to rewatch the 5th one as I fell asleep a little bit through it and didn’t completely absorb it all...
