Honestly,i believe this twist was utterly premature,i reckon it was actually meant for maybe 2 weeks time, but channell 4 were getting desperate over low ratings.

Yeah, Davina seemed quite unorganized tonight..
Why have you made about five threads slagging off tonight's show? Can't you just make one for all the grumps?

I would normally agree with the grab for ratings theory, but they never advertised it much, I mean the first I heard of it was 6:30 tonight when I logged on here.

Yes it was for ratings.
Yes it failed.

Yeah, I was thinking it looked like a ratings plea and was a bit undramatic by the end. I'm not sure if the housemates will really buy into the idea that the money is gone. It happened in such a bazaar way that they will know it's a trick.??

They didn't make such a meal out of telling the housemates, that BB are NOT going to give the BB winner the £100thousand prize-fund either??
I thought that they may have emphasised that part a bit more?
There is still only speculation amongst the housemates at this time.

I agree. In fact the most important part of the trick is that they should believe in it. Though I'm quite surprised BB are playing with the financial side of things. Tomorrow the HMs will probably all have a good read of their 'welcome Pack` AKA the Game Rules.

No. This isn't a quick fix twist, the real effects will kick in over the next month, and things will become very interesting.

I must admit I'm quite impressed with the way the twist was kept under wraps, generally speaking, and it was quite unpredictable really. I think the consequences will be good to watch, with some more aspects of HMs personalities coming out perhaps... in fact if anything it's even better that this twist happened earlier because we get to find out all these things earlier! There's plenty of time in the near future for the other more predictable twists, e.g. HND/basement ones.

Personally I Had No Idea This Twist Was Coming, Usually There Is Loads Of Hype About Them! I Don't Think That Channel 4 Needed The Twist For Ratings, BB8 Has Been Extremely Entertaining This Year && With All The Twists Already I Don't Believe Thier Ratings Would Be Low!

I just think it would have created more of an atmosphere also I think Davina could have atleast revealed the task to the housemates.

i dont think it was for low ratings or they would have mentioned it on fridays show, and thoughout the weekend and the days leading upto the big twist.

i dont think it was a rating thing i think that someone thought of it and before it was leaked out the did it early thats all
I was watching Liam break down last night after Carole , Seany and Johnathan came out of the diary room and I was so happy for him , and so enjoying the twist , that surely - even if it seems obscene - this forum would log off for a little while and appriciate it , pull away from the keyboards where a lot of you live and enjoy the twist.
I was so wrong.
