What are your initial thoughts when you see an obese child, say aged 10?

Don’t think anything?
Think the parents are too blame?
Feel sorry for the child?
Think our government needs to do more?

I remember I once saw two skinny parents and their overweight kid with a large dominos takeaway in his hands. I thought what are those parents thinking. It just not fair on the child.

I think I would mind my own business...in all honesty.

At least I would hope this child is not bullied or harrassed by kids in school or something cruel like that.
Other than that, it's none of my business.

Yes this is where my concerns come from. it must be so hard. And the worst part is it is controllable.

As a parent, I have to be honest and say yes I would judge that parents choices. I'm a galaxy away from what I would call a perfect parent myself so not suggesting I'm any better than them but I tried to make good choices when it came to food.
It's so fundamentally important, and there's tons of help and support now for families. The risk of diabetes, inflammation and such, it really is setting them up for future misery.

My first thought is for the kid and the kind of crap they'd go through at school. Second thought would be that allowing a child to become obese is tantamount to child abuse, in my opinion. It's not like there's no help or information available. And like Trumpet said, when I see an obese child they are usually with an obese parent.
