View Full Version : Serial Child predator Mark Feely slashed by father of 7 year old he tried to meet

so he planned to meet a 7 year old he met on TIk Tok at a bus stop but was met by their dad who sliced his face up and has since been arrested.
Part of being released on child sex offences means no social media yet he is allowed to have hundreds on profiles on so many different sites and is given protection because he has family who are high up in the forces.
Why do we live in a society where stuff like this is constantly allowed to happen? He should be locked up for life not let out time and time again to keep reoffending

There was a rumour going around Facebook that he was living literally up the road from me the other week in a bail hostel? Haven’t heard nothing more though

Social media makes it easy for people like this to access kids...it also makes it as easy for the parents of those kids.
I know there's the ' let's not resort to vigilante justice' argument. But if you as a parent found out found out that this guy was attempting to meet with your child... for me it would take every fibre of my being not to cut his face off too!

I’ve no idea what kind of gifts or how they are sent BUT the whole idea of complete strangers being able to send gifts to young girls online via the TicTok LIVE gives me a bad feeling !!

I can only imagine... however, on the flipside, the kid of this father is now most likely going to suffer being apart from him for a substantial amount of time (I'd imagine he'll be treated leniently by the courts but it'll still be at least months, I'd have imagined?) as he's committed a violent crime. It's a lose-lose.
...I don’t understand why I can’t find any information about him, other than on a few social media sites...if he’s a known serial child predator, then why can’t I find that information of his multiple convictions...

Hopefully the kid's father doesn't face any chances.
And also hopefully the parents wonder why they're allowing a seven year old to use social media.

I would suggest that if you think its acceptable to slash someones face open then you need to be locked up for a very long time.

Probably not what I would have done either but I definitely would have done something to the guy. Imagine what he would have done to that 7 year old

I'm guessing you don't have any kids, either of your own or in your family.

If i had a 7 year old child it would not be on tik tok speaking to pedo. Bad parenting at its finest.
At least this 7 year old will be hopefully taken by social services now and be given a chance at a good life.

You won't find anything because he has family members high up in the police protecting him

Sounds completely logical.
I hate to speculate because i dont know anything about this mark character other than seeing karens complaining about him on my FYP.
But could it be possible that hes just a ****** whos pretending to like kids to get attention. and other people on tik tok are just fueling the flames. has he really been locked up? why is there nothing on the internet when you search his name? why are major news outlets not picking up this story?
All seems very odd.

...so..(..and I would obviously never defend any abuse against children if true...)...we don’t know, though...he’s been ‘tried and found guilty’ by social media, by specific people on social media...and his face has been slashed because of that ‘guilt verdict’....and the flaw with that isn’t completely apparent...?...
There are so many flaws in this
- why was a child on a social media app unsupervised
- why did the father allow the meeting to go ahead without contacting the police
- how did he determine he had the right guy when he attacked him, did he use his kid as bait?
Yes, it's natural for a parent to be protective, but the parent wasn't being protective in this example, so that arguments fails
I would suggest that if you think its acceptable to slash someones face open then you need to be locked up for a very long time.
That is a VERY good point !!

...well I’m assuming that the attack on him is also ‘social media talk only’ and didn’t actually happen..?...as there is nothing covering that in mainstream media either...

lets hope so
lets hope so
...I think it would be too big a story not to be covered in mainstream...’sexual predator attacked by father...’...it would be followed through to court case and verdict etc ...it might just be a delay and will still be reported....but if it isn’t in the next few days..?...I would also assume the attack didn’t happen...very dangerous social media information, extremely dangerous...

It's not acceptable to slice someones face up unless it's in the process of self defence. We see the paedo hunters arrange cops to arrive and arrest the offender, but this guy chose the path of vigilantism. Both he and the paedo should be punished.

Why are 7 year olds on tik tok or any form of social media anyway? That's a very good question, AJ.Is it a question if you know the answer, though? Permissive and absentee parenting is fairly common. I constantly have to contend with hearing my (10 year old) daughters friends tell her that we're "controlling" because we won't let her wander miles from home with them... When in fact the harsh truth is that their parents just don't seem to know or care what they're doing. One of them (a 9 year old!) who lives across the street is regularly still up and messaging her at 3 or 4am. I know this because her phone is in the living room at night, and I had to start putting it on aeroplane mode because it was still buzzing all night...
Anyway. My 10 year old is allowed to post to Social Media (Instagram and TikTok) but we follow her and keep a close eye on what is posted, and messaging is disabled. She's only allowed to message people she actually knows on WhatsApp. The only thing we've had to outright say no to is Snapchat.

Make sure she isn’t able to do those LIVE shows .. good luck

Lockdown has also been a massive strain on a lot of parents. Some having to work at home whilst homeschooling has made them a little more reliant on technology and quite often the kids are far more savvy then their elders.
I am told often that I am ruining my sons life by restricting his online activities and not allowing him a sim card as ALL his friends have mobiles on contracts.

Go figure :bored: , I was just about to say the same thing about him being protected .
Tiktok makes it far too easy for creepy predators to groom kids , this isn't the first time with tik tok . it was only a matter of time before violence was the result .

They should definitely start punishing parents who allow kids under 13 to have social media accounts.
