Dirty Dancing sequel starring Jennifer Grey announced

An official sequel to the hit summer romance movie Dirty Dancing has been announced, 33 years after the first film was released.

Star of first film [Grey] will also executive produce follow-up to hit summer romance movie, with Jonathan Levine directing.

Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer said: “It will be exactly the kind of romantic, nostalgic movie that the franchise’s fans have been waiting for and that have made it the biggest-selling library title in the company’s history.”

Hope they stick to the correct time frame with this - the original was set in 1963, so 33 years on this should be set 1996/mid-90's or earlier if they want.

Please no modern day setting because the music is on the whole absolutely awful nowadays lbh and I don't want a big finale featuring the sounds of 6ix9ine or some fool :joker:

I reckon this time round, she should emotionally manipulate and seduce a 16 year old boy, as a social experiment to see if it's as warmly received as the first film :joker:.
