TiBB Pub Quiz, would anyone be able to do it....

...have the time and want to do it etc....just really inspired by Oliver and his Riddles, it made me think of the quizzes and how bonding and great, team games are...but I know that they’re particularly skilled/time involving to host as well, to be able to prevent from cheat-by-google etc...Shaun is exceptionally good at those things, he’s a total master...:love:...(...looks at Shaun...)...and gets a good balance of challenging but not too obscure...(..looks at Oliver...)...

...I don’t know, Shaun, if you would be able to do it ...or if anyone else would...but I’ll leave the thread here as a suggestion of something that I think the forum as a whole, would benefit from...

I think so, most members seemed to like it plus with BB gone it will fill a bit of a void

I'll happily take over Top Answers but I doubt I can organise it and run the whole thing before the Pub Quiz starts... unless people don't mind there being two concurrent quiz games running. I'm open to whatever. I'd just need a week or so to prepare the whole thing.

I could run it at the same time as my Pointless spinoff as well, people could submit their answers for both at the same time so that could be good.

I did originally plan on starting one a few months back but I just couldn’t figure out a fair/easy way to do one properly on here, plus I’ve just been mad busy and life’s got in the way etc. :sad:

I think a game of TA lasts 7 rounds? So I'd ideally want to run it over a fortnight with 2 days for each round tbh.

OK I've just rushed 10 rounds of Top Answers together with 10 questions in each one... I've tried to keep the questions semi-vague so that it allows for some interesting lateral thought for both Top Answers and Pointless, but tbh I'm a little daunted by the prospect of hosting both simultaneously.

Not everyone has to take part in both games, but for those who would be interested in both (Top Answers and Pointless), would you be OK with submitting both sets of answers simultaneously?

For example, let's say it's Round 1 and the theme is 'sports'. Question one is "name a Premier League football club". Question two is "name someone who's won more than one Olympic gold medal". Would everyone find it too confusing to submit a PM like:

1) Manchester United - Pointless: West Bromwich Albion
2) Usain Bolt - Pointless: Dara Torres

And so on, so forth?
