It’s starts with an over excited radio presenter saying the station is Giving away a life Changing amout of cash for free!

All you have to do is text bollox to our number to be entered to win.

But wait, calls are charged at 2 pounds plus your network message charge.

So in fact it’s not a free giveaway you are actually paying for the chance to win

Add to the fact some so called giveaways are open for a month across all the radio stations other networks and the offer is repeated every day and nearly every hour it will generate more income than the prize they are fraudulently giving away.

It’s not a giveaway if you have to pay to enter.

A girl at my works won £6k on one of these. She only entered using the free website entries.

Yes there is a get out of jail clause that says enter online for free but if it was truly a free giveaway make it just an enter online for free or tex for free and you only pay your network charge.

I just couldn't be arsed reading all of your post, so I didn't see you explained she won by email, which made my post look even more ridiculous than they normally do.

of course, its no different to doing the lottery you pay to enter and you have a chance to win, I think most people know they will be charged for the call

it's no different to all the "no purchase necessary" competition scams that run all over the place. As long as they offer some well hidden method to enter for free it's legal
