Better than Little Mix... hell yes
But i could be just as happy with a Beatles album as with Wolf Alice
That being said, only I still play Wolf Alice a lot... like tonnes... 100x more then the Beatles

I think I’d rather listen to Nicky singing the hits of Il Divo than the Beatles

The Beatles are overrated, I gave a listen to Revolver and it's really good, but best album of all time? Nah.
And I don't hate prog bands or anything so im not biased, I really like Dark Side of The Moon for example

The Beatles are placed higher in the heirarchy of great music because they were unique for their time/trailblazers, IMO. When compared to a lot of the music that followed them over the next few decades - even music that was inspired by them - ... ... ... they don't measure up. They definitely started something, musically, but they were improved on . [/controversial opinion]

Its compliment that they are the greatest group that when we have these threads periodically where some awful group gets touted as the best the comparison is always the Beatles
simply because they are the benchmark
inadvertently the thread makers are confirming the opposite of what they are claiming

Whilst some of their later stuff is kinda lacking I’d argue that 95% of their stuff before say ‘68 is/was quite remarkable and even go as far as unparalleled - sooo many beautiful melodies.
It’s only with the White album (‘68) where things started to wane in my opinion and even that featured the hauntingly beautiful Blackbird
..
I don’t care for Yellow Submarine at all - it is simply horrendous !!
In saying all that their last album Let it Be (1970) had Let it Be , Across the Universe and The Long and Winding Road on it !!
They were also prolific.. releasing an album ( sometime two !) every year !!
Nowadays artists release an album every 3 or so years

Errrrr . Sorry I’m my humble opinion- Wolf Alice aren’t in any way remotely comparable to the Beatles .
I listened to the first link and also their most popular song - Bros - they’re average at best and even that’s if you like quirky kinda vibes .
Apologies

Even that album ( not one of their best imho ) had a few great tracks - Here , There and Everywhere plus Eleanor Rigby plus Got To Get You Into My Life etc

The Beatles couldn’t be called progressive until the later albums ( the free and easy hippy times lol )
Dark Side of the Moon is amazing but if you like that then it’s possible that you may not like the Beatles stuff .
I like most music types but many seem to stick with certain styles .

Which groups do you have in mind?
The first 5 or 6 years of the Beatles gave us soooo many wonderful songs .. some beautiful ballads and the others were simply pure unadulterated melodic pop music ..
Depends what you enjoy ..
