The whole month. I imagine when I move out though it will be a bit different.

4 weekly I'm ok unless something unexpected happens, it's hard to get in front. My lad gives me a bit of board now so that really helps, well it pays towards the extra council tax and petrol to work and stuff.

Was a tight budget for many years (and at times straight up dire) but these days - finally - we have excess income every month for savings / unexpected expenses / just buying nonsense that we don't really need.

Both of our credit ratings are ****ed for the next 2 or 3 years though, debts etc (and not paying them) hit their worst point in the 6 months or so just before our income dramatically improved... turns out it takes forever to repair a wrecked credit rating. Oh well.

So what do you get to show for all your tireless work?

Hot food and a room in the TL's house.

Haggis and pigs’ blood don’t count as food.

Recently had a drop in income due to giving up one of my part time jobs but still managing to save a little on the remaining income

Lots of good advice here on building your score, might pay to ditch the Mrs or vice versa (metophorically speaking :D:) depending who has the worse credit history if one or the other can apply for a mortgage on your own

Wait... people get paid monthly over there? :o This is news to me. It's like ALWAYS weekly around here (or bi-weekly if anything)

Anyway, my weekly paychecks usually last for that week - after $ put aside that I need for all my monthly payments bs - (with slightly extra $ leftover normally)... but I'm saving a little more of my paychecks since covid & doing pretty well financially in general, knock on wood :fc:

Ok. Jesus.

I’m going to assume she can make all her paycheques last if it’s personal disposable income alone.

Omg so weird so when I worked 5 days a week I earned £300 a month extra than I do now and it never lasted the whole month, now I earn less and I can make it stretch the whole month. Most likely now down to the fact I know I can splurge on expensive ****.

Neither do I, self employed London Black Cab driver.
