Our town is small but has its fair share of fame, Craig Phillips who won BB, Jeremy Corbyn who went to the local grammar school as did Simon Bates (DJ) Ozzy Osborne brought a wine bar here (its still called Ozzys), Roy Wood (Wizard) also lived nearby and now we have a 'Who wants to be a millionaire' winner ,first for 14 years, he is a teacher at the same grammar school ,which bodes well for my nephew as he is a pupil at the same school , so fingers crossed for him,:hee: does anyone else have well known people in or from their area ?

I went to the same school as Roy Keane, there are a few famous people from Cork in general but he's the only one from my exact area, where I grew up

I've had a few people work for my company who went on to Corrie and Shameless - Catherine Tyldesley, Rob James Collier and Rebecca Atkinson.

I used to hang around with Lisa Riley at school (we went to different schools but everyone met at the bus station after school)

My brother is friends with Chesney Hawkes, Rob Green (goalkeeper) and went to Uni with Mark Chapman (Chappers)

The most famous person from my area was Eric Morecambe. In fact my nana lived on the same street as him when they were young they were good friends and she used to shop for his mum

He does but comes back a lot as he is very close to his family. My brother's wife has known them since they were kids and is close with the whole family. Chesney came to my nieces christening last year and was lovely.

My brother was in the same class and college form as Ellie Goulding (I went to the same college as well just a decade later..)

The pretenders also are from where I live and were formed here.
