At people's birthdays I always buy two things - one for the birthday, one for Christmas. That way, I don't have a mad rush when winter starts :D

I kinda started during lockdown because I saw something my Nan would love for a great price but I started some more the other week. I normally start in October because Christmas shopping during german market is a pain.

Least you're well prepared this year having started months ago

That is actually genius. Although I hope no one bought me jeans or trousers before lockdown expecting them to fit me now :fist:

Yeah im the same tbh. I prefer shopping when everything feels 'christmasy', not when it's baking hot outside :nono:

Had it all sorted by August bank holiday weekend.

I've got all my christmas cards.

Signed sealed and ready to be delivered mid December.

I spend ages choosing these...got some with gorgeous pictures and heartwarming verses for close relatives and friends. And for acquaintances I buy charity packs where some of the profit goes to good causes. There are some really lovely ones available. X

I literally can't think of anything my kids want or need and that makes me think they might be spoiled  :joker:. I was planning to build my eldest a PC for her birthday/Christmas (as they're close together) but I ended up doing that months ago because of lockdown (was sick of her using my precioussss for her school work).

Are any of them young enough to do the "Santa List" and look over their shoulder?

Are any of them young enough to do the "Santa List" and look over their shoulder? My 8 year old is LD so not possible there, it can be hard to figure out what she might want at all and my 11 year old is a 15 year old in disguise and her requests range from bizarre to ludicrous. She also has this weird thing about "things going to waste" - I dunno where from as I'm wasteful as **** - but it makes her scared to ask for things because she's "worried she might not like them and that would be a waste". It's an endless cycle.

It's the TLs birthday next week and so far I have not been told what she wants  and I bet when I ask she won't know. I think if you can't think you should just not get anything as you don't need a present. The same day it's middle girl Lt and she sent me a link to trainers which I bought.

Just state what you want.
