A while ago i had 10,000+ posts but now I'm back to 9,000. It says under my avatar i have 5,000+ posts but i can still see the 10K picture. Can anyone explain why this has happened?

I think Mark has run a proram on the site which sorts out post count and then takes into account deleted posts.
