We’d like to think that a band called ‘fire and flame’ would go all out on the pyro, but we'll just have to be patient and wait for the final run-through.

red backdrop, James is on a higher platform with two huge trumpets on left and right side from him, the dancers are in front of him with normal trumpets playbacking to the chorus instrumentals

he sounded quite good either

Albania: huge staging changes, they elevated the staging more compared to 1st rehearsal, she held back on vocals this time around

Portugal: stunning stunning vocal performance, staging feels like a ''michael schulte germany 2018'' moment, is definitely the surprise of this year, very lovely charming ballad with soulful, jazzy vocals

during the week we got various guests, among them Duncan Laurence and Johnny Logan

Rotterdam expects 1 million people to visit the online village


we got a 3D world of rotterdam, sightseeing some of highlight places such as Euromast, Markthal, cube homes, and of course ahoy itself

this particular person only tested positive today upon arrival, for routine test and the whole group out of precautionary measure went immediately back into isolation

The full statement of EBU:

The two members of the Icelandic and Polish delegations who tested positive for COVID 19 remain in isolation. The rest of their delegations have all returned negative PCR tests.

As a further precautionary measure, the Polish delegation will be tested again prior to the Dress Rehearsal on Wednesday, and again on Thursday before Semi Final 2. The Icelandic artists, and necessary support, will also be tested again on Wednesday and Thursday, as they have not been in close contact with the infected person. The remainder of the Icelandic delegation will remain in quarantine.

We look forward to welcoming them all back to the Rotterdam Ahoy later this week.

As previously stated both Malta and Romania who had been isolated on Sunday due to infections in their hotel, have had negative results and will be appearing in tonight’s first Semi-Final.

Pretty weak semi-final compared to the first IMO... Georgia, Austria, Czechia, Estonia were all woeful.

Moldova were lucky to qualify, I thought they'd be pipped by Denmark for the cheese factor.

I have two firm favourites now, hopefully they finish top 5 (Ukraine and Italy). I'm sure one of the others I really like will underperform like mad (probably Cyprus).

On a side note am I the only one that's noticed a pattern of loads of female singers singing Dancey uptempo numbers this year? I'm not saying that all of the songs in that style are bad, but I'm worried that it's gonna get very repetitive once we reach the end of the night.

Knew he’d bomb. Omg it was so bad. Nil points were well deserved. What an embarrassment.

I like France but I knew as soon as the girl started talking that she was full of herself and so went off her fast.

Ended up routing for Switzerland towards the end but the song was a bit too similar to the style of arcade. However the gay was so sweet. And his song was really good.

The only thing interesting about Italy was the singers dickprint.
