my views on the royal family are well documented, but, having thought about it some more, the constitutional duties that king charles now has to perform are set in stone, repeated for centuries with little scope for adlib or controversy. It's going to be pretty difficult to get them wrong. William and Kate are very steady and no worry at all, so it's the extended royal family that are the concern as they always have been
