Anybody here watching this game tonight?

Apparently this is the first time we will be playing against Wales since the Euro 2016 group stage, a game which we won but it was Wales who reached the semi finals that year.

DCL is expected to start tonight and he’s been smashing it for Everton since the season begun so I’m looking forward to see him play. We have quite a few players who aren’t playing tonight tho (Sterling, Abraham and Sancho).

Will hopefully be a good game. I have my beers ready :hee:

Its shouldn't even be on, like whats the point in friendly international games when they just increase the risk of infection

Not a bad first half. We’re 1-0 up which is good but both teams have weaker squads out tonight.

Conor Coady finished from a great set piece to make it 2-0. Now Ings has just scored a beauty to make it 3-0 :cheer2:

Grealish is a class above everyone else on the pitch AGAIN ...

I’d build the team around him but sadly Southgate is too cautious/negative and after this game I’m pretty sure Southgate will only use Jack as a substitute.

Grealish provided a great assist tonight that cross was perfect for DCL to head it home. I think a lot of them performed well tonight tbh.

It’s been mentioned before .. England are possibly the worst team around for wasting / ignoring special talents ..

Matt Le Tiss 8 caps
Rodney Marsh 9 caps
Stan Bowles 5 caps

Glenn Hoddle only started 43 times for England and even then they didn’t play to his strengths ..

There was a lot of potential in that squad tonight and admittedly we was playing against a much weaker Welsh side (no Bale or Ramsey) but a lot of players proved themselves, Ings, DCL, Grealish even Pope too. I agree tho Zizu I think Southgate should be a bit more ambitious with his starting 11 instead of leaving them on the bench all the time.

All last night and the previous game proved to me was that we should build the team around Jack Grealish.

Sadly I see Southgate using him as in impact sub when we’re chasing the game

Shocking result tbh. Maguire getting a yellow card in the first 5 mins; that was such a stupid challenge he just seemed to be all over the place.

I was surprised by the penalty decision tho. Watching the highlights that didn’t look like a foul at all.
