I don’t necessarily see wearing a mask as a curtailment of freedom, I think that is being over dramatic tbh

Freedom first...allow the individual to choose for themselves to care for others by adorning a mask.

I love wearing a mask, I can look as miserable as I want, mouth **** off at people if I so wish and don't feel I have to smile at random strangers in the supermarket

Health first, people who say freedom first are selfish and idiotic

Wearing a mask really isn't that bad, I have worn one for months now for work, even heavy lifting wearing one.

If it stops the spread of something that kills people I have no idea why anyone would resist.

This kind of ideology sickens me. Putting a peice of material over your mouth could stop somebody DYING

The question is too limited for me to answer it to be honest. Both are important.

the act of wearing a mask is not an affront on freedom, making it mandatory is. So, it's not about the mask itself, it's about the mandatory requirement. That said, I accept that wearing a mask is the right thing to do, but I understand those that take exception to it

I dont particularly enjoy wearing my mask as we have to wear them for so long at work but I've always worn it.

Plus I can make bitchy faces and people cant see :hee:

I hate wearing my mask since I have to wear one at work and it’s a bit irritating having to wear it for so long but I just have to get on with it really.

It wouldnt sicken you if the world was full of caring people, cause they would all wear a mask without being told to...I'm not sure whats so sickening about that.

Perhaps a career in am dram for you.

And I dont actually mind wearing a mask now, it means I dont have to shave for work as people dont notice!

Yes I know it will never happen, and for me that's the sickening thing.. not someone wanting the freedom of choice.. nor is it idiotic to want to believe that given the choice we would all wear them..idiotic to think we would, but not idiotic to want to..so people are not idiotic to want freedom of choice..

not wearing a mask increases the risk of either you getting the virus, or you spreading it to risk groups such as elderly and more vulnerable

but anti-maskers don't think like this, more like freedom first for their own selfish lives

Many of them fight for the freedoms of others...so it's not as selfish as you spew out.

Ammi

...in an ‘ideal/perfect’ world then freedom would apply, I understand that completely...but because ‘human kind’ can never be ideal or perfect and regard and protection for lives has to be the thing more than anything, then that is the consideration for all who are able to ....before anything else, any freedoms or whatever...there has to be life...without that, nothing else is possible...

...I care, Nicky...it’s something for all of us to care about who have had the privilege of freedoms in our lives...but mask wearing for protection of ourselves and others doesn’t take from that freedom as much as it gives to that freedom in the helping of the preservation of life...

i meant it more like, is it really more important than your own health

i mean without a good health, you can't enjoy your freedom anyway

sorry, i just can't handle people in my country not listening to important advice given, and when you can't listen to advice, a requirement for masks must come but that is my opinion

my mom has same opinions as i have

Do you believe in euthanasia?

Nicky91

Do you believe in euthanasia?

emotional subject for me, don't want to talk too much about that

my grandfather of my mom's side had like severe pancreatic cancer, and it got so worse we had to euthanize him but this is like long time ago now (like end of 2008)

Masks and freedom go hand in hand. For example, they've given me the freedom to lip sync to my tunes in public.

tbh even with a mask requirement you still have 98% of your freedom in your life

it's only this one little thing which also helps to give you more chance of not getting covid (also protects against other bacteria)

Covid has nothing to do with bacteria. Bacteria and viruses are completely different things.

It's set up as a false choice though, because the freedom crew generally (though not exclusively as you prove) only want the freedom so they don't have to wear them.
