Virgin Media - trying to get through to a hooman , you will wait 45 minutes as they are prioritise 'vulnerable' customers (since March) and some of their call centres are closed? eh you are a telcommunicaitons provider and you can't ensure that all your staff can work from home?
No doubt 3/4 of the have been on furlough for months on end :fist:
trying to get my contract sorted has been the bane of my life for the last 6 weeks

Travelup! had £750 worth of flights booked with them.
They refused to give me a refund even though the flight were officially cancelled.
They blamed the airline.
I told them I dont give a **** what the airline does, you sold me flight that were cancelled. You owe me the money back.
Ended up recovering all the money through my credit card company.
absolute ****ers.

154 days to get my money back...the worst thing is they said they were refunding in date order, someone started a FB group and there are now 1200 members waiting for a refund, some who should have travelled in June, our sail was in August so I feel very blessed that I got my cash back
some people are already with the small claims court

Bloody hell that is ridiculous
companies will always try every trick in the book to hang on to your money longer and now they have a fresh batch of reasons

Big Green Coach - had coach tickets booked with them to travel to a festival that was cancelled, never received a refund or even a reply from them.

even the CC companies are now trying to scam people telling them they only have to repay what was paid on the card rather than the whole amount

did you pay by credit card, if so you can get it back from them, or if by debit card raise it with your bank
Cherie I actually Don’t think there’s anything wrong with being a Karen sometimes to get what you want! Sometimes you’ve got to.

There's actually very little incentive for them to do so with interest rates flirting close to zero. No profit in holding money. It might even dip into negative rates.
The interest on my credit card was something like £1.50 last month :umm2:. It's not got a huge balance to be fair but usually comes in at around £5 - £6 so...

so I rang up my bank as Ryan Air finally refunded me my flight money from a flight in June and as I lost my debit card in between it takes longer to move onto the account so you have to ask for it to be done manually, anyway the woman at the other end got confused as I had already raised a charge back about a month ago, so she deposited 580.00 in my account as a 'dispute' and this morning the Ryan Air refund has arrived, so ... I assume at some point they will grab it back?
