Just don't eat Bird Meat for the time being and you should be fine.

I'm 70% confident of that.

Our food safety standards are rubbish, no wonder there's breakouts all over the place, swine and bird flu wouldnt happen if we looked after our livestock better. I don't know how we've the cheek to roll our eyes at Wuhan... we're just as bad!

Omg what the hell!! .
And I kept thinking how weird it is when these viruses come and go ie bird flu, swine flu ,foot and mouth.

It felt like Covid was the only one not going away. And now bird flu is back again oh great

A mutation in a coronavirus could happen anywhere.. in a wet market, a mink farm, in any kind of intensive farming environment like a mega farm or battery hen house.

This pandemic could literally have happened anywhere. If there is a lack of basic hygiene you run the risk of creating a new pathogen.

Isn’t bird flu found in wild birds, but can spread to those in farms?

The birds found are all wild so far

I've heard of some nasty methods that some Chinese Restaurants use to kill Cats, Dogs, and even Rats.

It's hard to imagine that any other country can compete on animal cruelty.

My point being that a more responsible country than China would've told the other countries to do a temporary lockdown with them until they had Covid under control instead of allowing it to spread worldwide and ruin everyone's lives for a whole year.

Do we know that for certain? Look at the BSE crisis that started here due to our farming methods and look at the fallout from that people dying of the human variant CJD.

We have no right to citicise.

[The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) said there had
been a confirmed a case of bird (avian) flu in
a person in the South West of England.
The UKHSA said the risk to the wider public from avian flu
continues to be very low but said people
should not touch sick or dead birds.
In a statement, it said: “Bird to human transmission of avian flu
is very rare and has only occurred
a small number of times in the UK previously.

“The person acquired the infection from very close,
regular contact with a large number of infected birds,
which they kept in and around their home over
a prolonged period of time.

“All contacts of the individual, including those
who visited the premises,
have been traced and there is no evidence of
onward spread of the infection to anyone else.
The individual is currently well and self-isolating.”]

Has a new report
that Bird Flu has crossed over to Foxes and Otters
simple because dead birds are left
and they go to them for food.

If you are in an area and dead birds
are on the Ground
inform your council, who will clear it.
That is essential.

We had an outbreak in our area before Christmas. There was wild ducks/geese dead on the river banks :( A poultry keeper up the road from us had their entire flock culled by DEFRA. Our chickens were fine as we’re quite strict with our bio security anyway.

The first person who tested positive
is thought to have inhaled the virus.

The second person is thought to be a
more complicated case and it is unclear
whether they have suffered a genuine infection or
whether they too inhaled the virus while at work.]

[Can bird flu infect people?
Yes, but only 873 human cases of bird flu have
been reported to the
World Health Organization since 2003.
The risk to people has been deemed 'low'.
But people are strongly urged not to touch sick
or dead birds because the virus is lethal,
killing 56 per cent of people it does
manage to infect.]
