This is the woman who said that the UK should threaten Ireland with food shortages in order to get us to drop pushing for the backstop agreement? That isn't aggressive that's ignorant and quite frankly shameful considering the history there..........

She is unlikely to go.
I had to shudder at Hancock saying she'd always been good to work with as to him.
That's what bullies are like, they seem like butter wouldn't melt around those who are equals or above them.
To those they see beneath them, that's when their bullying side comes out.
.it seems this PM and his government haven't a clue what bullying or unacceptable behaviour really is.
She should be out.
However I doubt she will be.
I just think she in any event comes across as not a nice individual.
She has deceived and lied to parliament and to her former Prime Minister directly in her previous position.

No point in having an inquiry at all then.
If he'll just overrule the findings and decide himself whether she has or not
Unbelievable.
Clearly the Con party is not going to respect the conclusions of this.
Which will set a very worrying agenda for the future.
Especially for any treated badly or bullied in a Con led workplace.
She should be out, instantly.
Her words would mean nothing to me, especially after this inquiry's conclusions too.

Not really.
The importance of this issue is whether it should be right for staff to be badly treated and/ or bullied in their workplace by a superior.
It seems from this, it's in order for Con superiors to do so towards those employed under them
Supporting that is not something I'd ever want to be identified with as to anyone doing so.
As this inquiry states this awful individual did.
No point of a Ministerial code or any inquiry's either if the PM can just brush it aside and do nothing.
Shocking that should be seen to be and IS.
the fundamental point is that there is no point holding an inquiry if you are just going to ignore the conclusions. It makes a mockery of the whole process

One of the most worrying things is she says it was unintentional as she didn't realise her behaviour was of a bullying or intimidating nature.
She's a government Minister for goodness sake.
However that can be an excuse from the worst kind of bullies, who say they didn't think they were being that bad.
She's a deceitful liar, proven by her former PM.
This Prime Minister's judgement is getting even worse from how bad it's been all through anyway.

You cannot hold an inquiry then throw out it's findings.
The only conclusion has to be this PM is willing to.be totally soft on bullies and bullying.

...the ministerial code is there for a reason.... “There must be no bullying and no harassment.”...that would be obvious and hoped for in any work place ....the findings were that the code was broken and that bullying did occur by Priti Patel...and yet an apology was accepted...it mocks their own system as well as those bullied when they should have felt and been protected....
i view this like a final written warning. If her character is as it seems to be, it won't be long until she does it again, and this time people will record her doing it and it will be made publicly available. It's a matter of time

Just totally agree again.
An apology was the most basic thing she had to do.
It doesn't stop there however.
If you've done wrong in your place of work and found to have done so.
Of course you will apologise once caught out.
It doesn't change the fact of other action taken against you however.
She should have resigned or been sacked.
She lost her last post for deceiving and lying to her then PM Theresa May.
This is likely a far worse incident than that.

People make mistakes, and I imagine a large proportion of it is a culture thing.
A manager from India has seconded over to our workforce and she shouts at the team when things aren’t done - yes it’s not ideal, but she is not bullying us, it’s just how the company works in India and she has been taught that way - it’s the norm to get results, and she said corporate India works that way. She has no ill intentions and culturally that is what her workforce is like. She was shocked when we mentioned that isn’t how we work in the U.K.
She has absolutely no ill intent and is just trying to get the team to work hard and reach our goals, she was just bought up this way. Some people could say bullying but the majority of us know she has no ill will it malice and she just needs to adjust.
Priti comes from an Indian family and I reckon she is similar and has been bought up with a mix of Indian and U.K. culture. I doubt she means any harm which is why I don’t believe she is bullying. The U.K. as a whole are very sensitive. A large part of these bullying claims I would bet are due to just simple cultural differences and I reckon some people under Priti are not able to deal with other cultures and are quick to shout bully when really they need to learn people from different ethnicities will have been bought up with different cultures.

Just like you defending some members of BLM then when they're clearly in the wrong with their looting, destruction and destroying others livelihoods. They can't do wrong, right? It's all the rights fault, right? That would imply, going by your outlook that BLM is a cult?! Obviously it's not, just like being in favour of the Tory party doesn't make you a cult member!

Nice downplaying of what she's done though. I don't see much acknowledgement of her bullying in this post, just acceptance that she is who she is because of her job. That's not condemnation, that's excusing her.

Well firstly I would need to see the claims and evidence (I do not see any compelling evidence that Priti acted maliciously), and secondly determine what actually occurred. It may just be Priti’s management style - having come from India, a county with an extremely strict management style (shouting is the norm here) where people are held accountable if work is not complete. Yes it may be difficult to work under to but bully is a strong word
These claims may be completely exaggerated - so many people complain about their bosses to HR because they’re not performing well and therefore do not get rewarded whilst other colleagues do causing resentment and bitterness

I’m not blaming Indian culture - she is Indian she will have been bought up with Indian culture... Indian workforce culture is very strict, and involves a lot of shouting at management level as a way to encourage the team to work hard. They have absolutely no malice - it’s the way the majority of them have been bought Up. It’s a cultural difference, Priti was probably extremely shocked that some of her staff were even upset
I know as my work consists of about 40% Indian people..

Nice downplaying of what she's done though. I don't see much acknowledgement of her bullying in this post, just acceptance that she is who she is because of her job. That's not condemnation, that's excusing her.
I don't hate BLM and have never claimed to have hated it. If you call pointing out flaws 'hate' then as you often say, you're entitled to be wrong :)
Still doesn't make the Tory party and it's supporters a 'cult' .
By calling her a cold hearted bitch im downplaying her behaviour? Ok

You're bringing up BLM in a thread completely unrelated to BLM, that says a lot.
Accepting bullying when people probably wouldn't normally on the grounds of the bully being a tory and then jumping to her defense to the point that, citing examples in this thread, that people are 'snowflakes' 'overly sensitive' and that her bullying is just basically 'indian culture' says it all really. If people will defend a person in power regardless of their actions then that is cultish behaviour. Don't like it, argue against it. You're still just saying 'lol, it's not!' and that won't get you anywhere.
You called her that and then basically said that it's 'nothing new' which is basically acceptance of the situation. Why can you call her a bitch so easily, yet sidestep acknowledging that she is a bully that almost drove someone to suicide?

I’m not blaming Indian culture - she is Indian she will have been bought up with Indian culture... Indian workforce culture is very strict, and involves a lot of shouting at management level as a way to encourage the team to work hard. They have absolutely no malice - it’s the way the majority of them have been bought Up. It’s a cultural difference, Priti was probably extremely shocked that some of her staff were even upset
I know as my work consists of about 40% Indian people..
I'm not sure its a culture thing. She was born, raised and educated in the UK so hasn't really experienced Indian "work culture". Obviously her home life experience could be different but she has worked for a long time in UK politics and so should know her behaviour was not suitable when shouting and swearing at staff. If you can't manage a team without resorting to verbal abuse and threats, you're not a good manager

If a full investigation resulting in Priti Patel being found guilty of bullying is not 'compelling evidence' then you aren't looking for evidence, you're looking for something to tell you what you want to hear.
The rest of this post is nothing more than downplaying of bullying and the defense of bullying itself, as well as basically saying 'she's indian, bullying is part of their culture!' Which is still downright racist.
I love it when people try to use my words against me, it never works because they don't understand the concept of context.

Using a topical example is perfectly reasonable in any debate. I know you want people to think i 'hate' BLM, but i was just pointing out YOUR hypocrisy. You're basically saying - "because she's tory people can't see any wrong in her actions and will blindly support her no matter what" therefore making the torries and people who support them a cult, yes? Well i just pointed you do exactly the same with things you support. Blame others, or pretend the problem doesn't exist when they clearly do. So again, im just pointing your strikingly obvious hypocrisy!
I was pointing out that nothing really changed in the tory party, still cold hearted at it's core. Im not even defending her and you're trying to argue me, just strange!

You still can't say that she's a bully, huh? So strange. Why is that? Why can't you simply say 'Priti Patel is a bully'?
There's no hypocrisy here, you're desperate to get one over on me by bringing up something irrelevant. Like always, you can't argue against what I'm saying so you're bringing up random things and incorrect statements just to stay in the game.
Stick to the topic, your obsession with bringing BLM into everything has no relevance to Priti Patel.

it's ok that Boris has a good sense of loyalty to his government, but Priti i guess was in the wrong, and should've been sacked from her job

So nothing to say in return except gaslighting? Thought so.
Also, you are still not admitting that Priti Patel is a bully despite an independent investigation stating she is just that, a bully.

I would say exactly the same about the court trial between Johnny Depp and The Sun / Amber Heard :). You didn’t seem to view the court decision as evidence at all. You seem to pick and choose when you are going to use ‘evidence’ as part of your argument in order to fit your own beliefs

Except you completely got the wrong end of the stick about what that case was for and what it meant and thus the conclusion you've drawn is completely wrong, it's hilarious when someone is so smug yet so wrong.
It was a libel trial to decide whether Johnny Depp had actually hit Amber Heard, there was evidence he had but my argument in that thread was always that the situation was more complicated than that, the trial wasn't a domestic abuse trial, it was a trial to establish one fact and whether a newspaper committed libel or not. They hadn't in regards to Depp hitting Heard but the situation was more complicated than just that given the evidence that came to light about Heard's abuse and general psychotic behaviour. My argument was less about the results of the trial and more about the domestic abuse itself, which you would have known if you actually knew the first thing you were talking about.
Also an independent investigation is a completely different thing to a trial, which shouldn't really have to be said... But then again you are defending a bully that pushed someone to attempt suicide and you've smeared an entire race of people to do it so I can't expect too much of you.
But again, like you bringing up BLM, Depp has absolutely nothing to do with Priti Patel, and you're just trying and failing to lash out at me because you have absolutely no argument against what I'm saying. A libel trial is not an investigation and I'm not denying the result of the libel trial. You, on the other hand, refuse to accept what doesn't go with your narrative and that's as clear as day. You can try to project that onto me, but I'll blow that argument up every time.

Very heartfelt apology by miss Patel (probably to please the media as Boris has already overruled the report stating no bullying took place)
People are very sensitive now that you probably can’t be a direct boss otherwise it could be deemed as bullying

'I'm sorry for my actions, they were wrong and I can only beg for forgiveness and learn from my mistakes' is an example of an apology. 'I'm sorry my behaviour upset people' is not an apology. It's a refusal to accept that your actions weren't wrong, just that it 'upset' other people, which is minimisation.
She obviously doesn't give a **** that her actions almost led to a person's death, because she's got out of it scott free because Boris threw the case out because truth doesn't matter to the Tories, nor does it matter to the tory cult that is their supporters who refuse to acknowledge the facts because it doesn't fit with their narrative.
Gross, Tories and their supporters seem to have a sociopathic lack of empathy or morality to take the side of a bully that almost drove someone to suicide.
