I like to come on tibb and explain my situations regarding this by posting about when it happens in my life..tibb accuses me of trolling by doing so and i get banned by the mods for it, they dont realise its pushing me further down my black hole

My mate loves Jordan Peterson. I've watched a few of his videos and he's a very wise man.

He's often on the money when it comes to the basics of psychology, and often wildly off base when he veers into sociology... Understandably, because he is a psychologist. But he tries, and a lot of his sociology is utterly toxic, so that's not exactly great.

He plays into a really sad, cucky mindset far too often and seems to think that the solution to being an underfoot character is "faux dominance", when in reality, faking dominance mechanisms is actually really pathetic :umm2:.

But it plays well with the MRA/PUA crowd.

In this instance, I think he's totally right about the causes of social anxiety and awkwardness (fears and insecurities) but for me he's way off on his solution (which appears to be playing silly games?).

The solution to these problems is introspection and tackling the root of the insecurity. Not "fake it til you make it".

I agree with this, by and large.

I looked on twitter and apparently he has a (second?) book coming out, and people who work for the publisher were "in tears" (their own words!) about it ... like it's just comical. Nothing he's said has been so bad that it should inspire grown adults to be in actual tears at the mention of his name :joker:
