As expected for Gtr Manchester. I'm personally not bothered but know a lot of people will be. Hoping that our cases keep falling as quickly as they have in the last few weeks and we will be in a position to move tiers soon.

yes, Kent is tier 3 which is insane. It covers a huge area and all but a small part has infection rates way below the national average

My area infection rate is 127 per 100k, the national average is 169

Bang goes the rave party I had organised for the weekend :fist:

The Swale area is to thank for Kent’s tier 3. We have the highest infection rate in the country I think.

I'm in tier 2 Gloucestershire but the village 5 minutes up the road is in South Gloucestershire so tier 3 lol. We were both in tier 1 before lockdown

It's gonna take a horrendous toll on the hospitality sector and sadly I can't see the tiers being relaxed until after January

I think a lot of the additional tiering is to take us over the Christmas period when it would be easy for people to go oh sod it, by mid Jan you will probably be back in Tier 1

I thought they were going to review the Tiers every 14 days, if the cases are dropping surely they will need to change the Tiers?

Nobody will be in tier 1 till after Xmas, they need to make it as safe as possible for Xmas mixing

We are in tier 3 and its annoying as the cases are really low here but we get dragged into lancashire as a whole. Thats just laziness if you ask me!

We are in Tier 3, even though it says North Yorkshire tier 2.
Too close to County Durham I reckon.
Quite happy about it as it’s pretty high around here, plus family can get checked out for xmas.

Don’t get you, there is no household mixing in Tier 3..?

there isnt any household mixing allowed indoors in tier 2 either. I feel sorry for the pubs and restaurants in tier 3, they are the most impacted. It's going to be so difficult if they dont get the Christmas/New year boost to get them through the rest of the year

Personally, i'm not affected by being in tier 3 compared to what my behaviour has been since March anyway, so if it keeps the infection rate down, i'm happy to go along with it
