Ahh this reminds me of my friend who went to Napier University (the **** ex-poly in Edinburgh) and, to make it sound like he went somewhere posh, he liked to pronouce it "Nah-pee-yay" University (it is pronounced "Nape-yer"). That was knowingly and ironically though. I feel like that's probably what Nigella is doing, too. Since microwaves were traditionally a bit chav.
