It seems this album was cited as something that could revitalise Lady Gaga’s career, but it hasn’t seem to have happened.

Is it already by everyone bar her fans and pop followers?

With the Oreo chromatically promo I doubt it

Revitalise her career?

She literally had a number one song not two years ago with the most awarded song of all time AND won an Oscar?

Also I guess you making this thread means that it isn’t forgotten?

It was just a observation babe, it appears to me that outside twitter gays it’s very much forgotten by the majority of music listeners

Where is the consensus of the "majority of music listeners"? :skull:

I guess the 1.3 billion streams the album has on Spotify don’t count

Completely forgotten. It dropped out the charts so fast :skull:

It’s a very basic boring pop album that anybody could have sung. It has no originality. Taylor Swift releasing music completely over shadowed her.

Yes. Trash album by a trash artist.

Forgotten in what sense? It sold well, was streamed over a billion times etc.

People generally don’t “talk” about an album constantly 7 months after its released, its been a pretty heavy year album-wise.

It really didn’t sell well though, yes it was top heavy and in the first two weeks had alright sales, but then it plummeted, zero longerivity.

Folklore which had one single and no promotion had longer longetivity and has sold far more

Guy I'm subscribed to uploaded this which I can understand explains why some fans feel like the 'era' isn't really going anywhere, but musically I think it was great and a return to form.

Yes. Embarassingly so. Imagine having to resort to selling cookies strap-ons and dildos for your album to do well.

Flop - barely scrapes top 20 albums of 2020 by sales.

Even the fans know she is fading and isn’t able to really sell albums anymore

Taylor Swift had 1 single from folklore and didn’t even promote the album and sold 2m compared to GaGas 500k :skull:

Having a number 1 album doesn’t really add much when it’s just die hard fans alone that but the album and then it plummets after 2 weeks, her music doesn’t reach outside her small fan base that will buy it in mass for 2 weeks and then it gets dropped like a bag of sick - had it not been for Ariana grande I doubt she’d even be in the top 30 sales wise.
