[In the clip, a gate agent is later seen coming
over to the family's seats and asking them
to get off the plane]

I think in the USA
it is an Insurance snag

Ridiculous trying to force babies especially (which really anyone under 4 is) to wear them

Yes of course
but a 2 year old girl
can have a Fun type mask

Best to teach her
before you get to the Airport.

If everyone has a mask on
no one can take the Airline to court.

That tweet isn’t showing them in a good light.
Moaning about leaving her and and the teenage son for a fortnight, while they go ahead with their holiday.

I would have struggled with my son at that age if trying to keep a hat on his head was anything to go by.

Oh fgs, if a 2 year old doesn't want something on their face nothing is going to make it fun, I can guarantee you that

Sure
but a day or so before the flight
get some Cool masks
for the little girl to try.

Give her a choco
after each mask wearing attempt, etc.

Sounds like Niamh is just too tight to spend money on chocolate bars. Everyone knows 2yr olds will benefit in later life from being stuffed full of Fredo's as an infant.

They chose to raise the child themselves, that's very big of them

I hope they sue, that is the strangest thing I've ever heard! 2? :/

Hmm I'm wondering if it isn't the airlines policy because that's the only way insurance would let them operate if every passenger wears a mask?...

I read some aeroplanes have recycled air conditioning... In which case you are constantly breathing in used breath? That could be a reason for insisting on masks for all ages.

In the USA only,
some airlines do not want court action
so everyone having a mask on
means no one caught Covid-19 on their flight.

It seems unreasonable because it's a 2yr old, but in terms of keeping passengers safe, it's the right thing to do. Kids are the superspreaders.
