View Full Version : Will Arsenal get relegated?

Seeing as how bad they are doing at the moment, could you see it happening?
12 matches out of 38 played and they are only 5 points ahead of the relegation zone and their last 5 record is 0 wins, 4 losses and 1 tie.
I think they'll continue to struggle the rest of the season and do quite bad, but eventually scrape up the necessary points to avoid relegation.

Nah. They're good enough to put 4 or 5 wins together at some point. Every team is pretty rubbish at the moment, so it's not like they're being left behind.

They won’t but it’s fun to vote yes :hehe:

No, I think they'll improve enough soon.
i voted yes, and there is a slim chance it might happen. Once teams go into freefall it can be very difficult to bounce back

Leeds are a proper club, we need the plastic ones out first.

No they won’t be relegated. Don’t get me wrong they are in relegation form at the moment but I’m sure at some stage they will begin to pick up results.

Who knows....it’s a funny season.
I don't think Arsenal have ever been relegated from the top league, only team in the country who haven't.
History says no, they won't be relegated.

Theyve got poor form but there are at least 9 worse teams than them so in what world?
No but its going to be a bad season, not even like there's glimmers of hope in their performances
I do remember saying on here, when everyone was wanting Wenger out, to be careful what they wished for, you don't know how well off you were until it's gone. I said they'd join the manager merry-go-round.
Allardyce should have gone to Arsenal :skull:

I don't think he wanted a step down in management
yet he went to the sinking ship West Brom (whom are amazing for championship, but bunch of losers and unworthy of premier league by far)
also the amount of disrespect there they showed icon roberto di matteo :bored:

I agree Alf.
Wenger was a top Manager for Arsenal and was disguising the sheer incompetence of the Arsenal ownership.

Redknapp is available
To be fair to Arsenal, they did come up against the Champions Elect today. They may fare better against a lesser side.

Hopefully Arsenal can get a couple of decent players in the January Window.

They really are a shadow of their former self atm. I’m curious to know who Arteta (if he isn’t sacked by then) can bring in during the January transfer window. With the state that the club is in at the moment, who are they going to attract?
Who cares, besides Arsenal fans?
They've had plenty of success in modern times, time for others to have a turn.
There was never any concern for Everton when they wasn't challenging at the top, so Sod Arsenal!

Big Sam could've been more help for Arsenal, yet him going to the sinking ship west brom
Everton now has massive help from their director of football, our Marcel Brands :clap1:

After yesterday's display they can take Neil Etheridge.

Arsenal fans react to outcast William Saliba being named Man of the Match in only his second game on loan as defender makes superb, last-minute tackle to earn his side a much-needed point (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9133493/Arsenal-outcast-William-Saliba-wins-Man-Match-award-just-second-game-loan-Nice.html)
Couldnt fnid anywhere to put this so posting here.
Couldn't we have used him in the Europa? Not sure I like Artetas stubbornness at times. I'm not a fan of selling young players anyway so I think he's being treated terribly
such a poor side, one of the teams i was hoping we would get in the Europa league tbf

We're still poor despite the recent wins.
Thing with Saliba, his parent have died recently, and he has been given as much time as he wants but he's stated he wants to stay at Arsenal. He can play right back too and one of the reasons why our system breaks down is cuz we have problems on that right hand side at the right back position. We need to keep him IMO.
can't believe you got rid of Glen kamara so easy, hes turned into some player since we brought him for 50,000 from Dundee, class in the games in Europe against benfica and Liege and against Celtic in the league, defo see him going back to the prem at some point (maybe after this season) technically he is great and has good footballing brain when it comes to making the right decisions

Glens turned into a decant little player. TBH I'd take Glen over Xhaka any day.

one of those players who you can see get better and better the more he plays, seen him a couple of times for Finland as well and he even runs the show in midfield there against good opposition, value will probably go up further after euros (if it goes ahead)

re: the Saliba thing, I gather the French league is something less taxing than the PL so I can understand the reasoning for loaning him out again, but... it's still frustrating when we've got 2 or 3 others that still can't handle regular PL football (Holding, Mustafi, Luiz, Sokratis - or has he gone yet?) if any PL football at all.
But yeah this thread didn't age well  the bottom 2 are pretty much already confirmed, and the third will be fought between Brighton, Fulham and Burnley.

Yeah it's going to be non-surprising and non-eventful relegation this time.

Sheffield United just show they don't belong in the premier league (at all) maybe mid-tier at championship at best
after 17 games still without a win
West Brom also not doing any better
Fulham has two extra matches to play which could get them ahead of Burnley and Brighton if they both win them
then i hope Brighton stay in, just narrowly ahead of Burnley

Fulham are not going to win against Tottenham, Chelsea or Man Utd.
