View Full Version : On a scale of 1-10, how Christmassy do you feel?

Poll above (1 being nothing, 10 being incredibly festive).

Gotta be honest, I'm not feeling it whatsoever after this horrible year. So much heartache and loss has happened everywhere but on a personal level for me too sadly.

Hoping for an improved 2021, somehow.

Haven't really been able to buy anyone anything close to what I would usually spend at Christmas (thanks to being laid off during COVID), and everything's just a bit naff this year. Plus the novelty of spending time with family is... uh... long gone, lol.

Voted a 3 because good food and I'm content with the gift-giving I'll be able to do, but it's very much a "grin and bear it" situation.

Last week it was about a 1....but now more so. Its easier to feel Christmassy if you've a kid in the house who is bouncing off the walls excited though. It's going to be different as we usually have friends round, go to visit people over the week but still magical. We will have christmas music and christmas films on all day

Merry Christmas everyone

i'm philosophical about it. Christmas has always been for kids to my mind, so that doesn't change. I give it a 5

5.
Things are so much different and not in a pleasing way.

However, I've 2 people who I think the world of with me all through.
Which is a blessing in itself in these crazy times.

I hope everyone on tibb, has as good a Christmas as it's possible to for them.

About a 7 as I'm trying to stay optimistic.

I'm normally a 9 or 10 though as it's normally just think about what to get people, and more importantly what I'm gonna get.:joker:

Hopefully Christmas will be better for you LaLaLand than what you think.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss btw.

Natalie.

About a 3.
I'm lucky I get to spend it with 3 out of the 4 people who mean the most to me but because of covid and other things, it isn't great

10.
Just had a dusting of snow, Presents are all wrapped, food is ready to be prepped and Christmas music will be going on shortly.
Daughter in law won’t be with us now as she jumped on a flight yesterday afternoon while she still could, but rest of our little family will spend Christmas Day together all going well.

7 also.
A lot going on, I'm literally taking a few minutes to check what's happening here and I'm going back to doing all the Christmas stuff.
7 also because we're not completely together this year, I will celebrate with my dad on the 26th but it still isn't the same as usual.
Let's stay positive and optimistic!

It wasnt so magical in 2010 when i woke up and the car had disappeared under a snow drift and me and ex-mrs LT took 3 hours to dig out the drive so we could get out to my brothers for dinner!

Send her some of your dandruff

There would be enough to cover the whole Manchester.
