At the moment do you have karma on and off.
I know that a lot of these anti-karma threads annoy people but I just would be interested in seeing how many have it ON and how many have it OFF.
I think it will be close...

Mines off. My feelings on Karma have been well documented. Needless to say, I'm not a fan.

I like to give posstive karma out to good posters so I leave mine on.

Mine's on but I really couldn't care less what karma points I'm on.

Mine is "OFF" & in view of everything negative which has come from Karma, it was a wise choice.

But for many, it is just a bit of fun, but for other's, well.....

Off, didn't feel people were being sensible enough with it so it weren't worth having it on.

Off, mine was going down for no reason at all. I hadn't even posted and found myself from 5 - 0.

On. Afterall, it's only a bit of fun and nothing to stress over, there is enough stress in real life without remotely stressing about a karma button.

That is very interesting and absolutely believable MarkChap?

I can believe that and that is where Karma goes terribly wrong. But the admins will know who took it from you, but where does it get you?

Nowhere.........................:puzzled:

Exactly,
Although I do have a few names on who I think it was, obviously I won't name drop just incase.

The Karma would have been so much better without the negative. In the end it was just used personally.

i think its good not everyone uses it in personal ways so its cool to use . and the option is there to switch it off so i like it .

I understand that, i hadn't posted anything bad and i went down like 4 points, so i turned it off last night, imo the novelty has worn of.
i'd like if you could just give out positive.

Off- I got frustrated when everytime someone gave me on, someone took one off.
I wasnt going anywhere

Girth I agree, the anonymity of it all just made it even easier to target people.

We all said it should just be positive from the beginning though.

It is probably the people you suspect, I worked that part out straight away, but you are correct not to name-drop, otherwise you will head for another big argument and this thread will probably be locked.

There had to be a negative, that was the way it was made.

But I know & understand what you say though. If there was only a + positive Karma, then anyone liking your posts may give you one.

But I would say that many enjoy taking Karma points away, just for nasty insincere reasons and that is very wrong...

Hence, me never wanting to take part, as I knew who would take them away and why?

On at the moment while I'm getting it, if I wasn't getting any I'd have turned it off as I'd probably have got disheartened about it. I know people like my posts and find me to be a friendly person anyway, even if I do find it difficult to join in sometimes it's nice to know I'm appreciated here. :flowers:

Off because some stupid forum members ruin it for others (and I can't be bothered with it).

on - I mind not if people take Karma or give it after all its meant to be a fun forum tool.

I try to only give +karma and dont actually use it that much these days
