This is BB though, for which scholars don't really seem to apply. He's hardly bright but I also don't think he's as dumb as he makes out... and I certainly wouldn't call him mentally challenged! For one thing, he doesn't come across as that mental... and secondly, BB wouldn't risk putting someone truly mentally challenged in there... a little unstable perhaps, which Brian isn't.
