[The news comes after it was revealed that
a virus lab at St Peter's hospital, Surrey,
announced they were trialling a spray
which could kill 99.9% of the virus.
The SaNOtize Nitric Oxide Nasal Spray (NONS) is
designed to kill the virus in the upper airways.
This stops the virus from incubating in the lungs,
according to the NHS.

It was developed by SaNOtize Research
and Development Corp. based in Vancouver,Canada ]

[In independent lab tests, they proved it
was 99.9% effective in killing the virus.
Pankaj Sharma, Professor of Neurology
and Director of the Institute of Cardiovascular Research
at Royal Holloway, said:
'Any intervention for treating
coronavirus – the virus responsible
for Covid-19 – is to be welcomed.]

I have a sinus issue that means nasal sprays kill my sense of smell, so all this would achieve is 1) making me think I have Covid and 2) ruining my fugn dinner :fist:

Nicky it enters your whole body via your nose
then gives you, 48 hours block on Covid-19 starting.

To clarify, it enters your nose and throat via the nose (your nasal airways merge with your mouth at the back of the throat), it doesn't "enter your whole body" like, say, a medication taken via pill. The (advertised) protection is physical at the point of contact, not in your bloodstream.

I'm pretty sure the evidence on how effective these nasal sprays are is not entirely conclusive, though. It won't do any harm but also you don't want people walking about thinking they're protected by the spray and failing to social distance etc.
